Global Boot Spotting

League titles wrapped up. Seasons concluded. The domestic season may be slowing down as final tables spark post-season analysis but we're keeping the pedal to the metal as we take our first strides in summer. Here's the pick of the boot spotting action from the past week of play-offs, league victories and cup finals.

Kylian Mbappe

Leading the celebrations last week, Nike released the 'Monaco Pack' as the club stood on the verge of their first league title in 17 years. The red and white iD designs were dished out to a selection of Nike Monaco players including French wonder-kid Kylian Mbappe who laced up in a custom Hypervenom 3, complete with matching haircut, against Rennes.

John Terry

John Terry marked the end of his illustrious Chelsea career on Sunday by playing his 717th and final appearance for the club. The former England defender marked the occasion by wearing a custom all blue edition of the Nike Tiempo Legend 6 boot to complement the Chelsea home strip. Terry's boots were personalised with the date and game of his farewell match against Sunderland at Stamford Bridge.

Mark Marshall

Mark Marshall (Bradford City) Puma evoSPEED Fresh

Bradford City will spend the 2017/18 season in League One after losing out to Millwall in the play-off final on Saturday. The pick of the boot spotting action from the Bantams came from winger Mark Marshall wearing the first generation PUMA evoSPEED Fresh. Just like the second generation that came out this month, Marshall's boots feature a mesh upper for a lighter feel in hot temperatures.

Shaun Williams

Shaun Williams found himself on the winning side at Wembley as he helped Millwall get promoted to the Championship for a record eighth time. Williams was giving a run out to the 2017 Champagne Pack adidas X 16+ Purechaos on the hallowed Wembley turf, a boot that has played a supporting role on-pitch to the limited edition Predator Mania.

Musonda Siame

Musonda Siame was in action as Zambia took on Portugal at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in South Korea this week. The Zambian youngster opted for a takedown version of the Nike Hypervenom 3 for the tournament in a colourway that hasn't appeared on the top-level Phantom series.

Ahmed Alaaedin

A random one from the Qatar Emir Cup Final this week as Al-Rayyan's Ahmed Alaaedin laced up in the limited edition Wayne Rooney Nike Hypervenom Phinish II. The red and white 'WR250' colourway was launched to celebrate Rooney becoming Man United's all time leading goalscorer. Is Alaaedin a big Rooney fan? No idea. He probably just likes the smart red and white split design.

Kyle Walker-Peters

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Kyle Walker-Peters is also out in South Korea as England contest the U20 World Cup. Walker-Peters was hand picked by adidas to be part of the young squad of players to launch the Glitch 17 silo and he's continued to fly the flag for the versatile concept by switching into numerous Glitch outer-skins, including the low-key black and red edition.

Liam Davis

Liam Davis (Cleethorpes Town) Nike Mercurial Vapor II

Liam Davis takes the boot spotting crown this week for wearing the second-generation Mercurial Vapor at Wembley for the FA Vase Final on Sunday. The Cleethorpes Town man laced up in the Nike Mercurial Vapor II from way back in 2004 as his side lost to South Shields. The Mercurial Vapor II helped lay the foundations for Nike speed, with Thierry Henry, Ronaldo and Cristiano Ronaldo all becoming leading players for the second-gen boot.

Phillip Lahm

Phillip Lahm (Bayern Munich) adidas Predator Mania

Phillip Lahm played his final ever professional football match at the weekend and in turn retired as a modern legend of the game. The German full back has been wearing the adidas Predator Mania 2017 Champagne since its limited edition release last month and remained in the boot to take his last ever steps in a competitive game, 15 years after he made his debut for Bayern wearing the original adidas Predator Mania.

Radamel Falcao

Radamel Falcao (AS Monaco) Nike Mercurial Vapor XI

Radamel Falcao's boot saga appears to be over after he wore the Nike Mercurial Vapor XI as Monaco wrapped up the Ligue 1 title. The Colombian striker had been wearing a blacked out version of the PUMA evoSPEED since his contract with the brand ended at the beginning of the year but Falcao looks to have now signed with Nike as he switched into the current 'Motion Blur' colourway.

Kevin McNaughton

Kevin McNaughton (Inverness) Nike Hypervenom II

Inverness Caledonian Thistle defender Kevin McNaughton threw us at the weekend by slipping into a blacked out football boot. The former Cardiff City man appears to be wearing a takedown model of the second generation Nike Hypervenom although we're more than happy to be called out on that. The personalisation on the heel is in Nike typeface and the silhouette has is more Hypervenom than anything else for us.

Samantha Johnson
Samantha Johnson

Samantha Johnson (Chicago Red Stars) Concave Volt +

Concave recently collaborated with world-renown graffiti artist Mr Cenz to create a limited edition boot collection made up of the brand's leading trio of silos. Liverpool Ladies player Natasha Harding has already switched into the design and she was joined this week by Chicago Red Stars' Samantha Johnson to wear just one of one hundred pairs of the Volt + editions.
