Nani switches to adidas F50 adizero
It seems the most popular football boots in the World right now, the adidas F50 adizero, have acquired another big name convert - Manchester United and Portugal starlet Nani turned out for the Red Devils against Bolton wearing the White/Pink F50 adizero boots!
The (former?) Mercurial star has often been subject to debate on quite just what he had on his feet - often seen playing in the Nike Mercurial Vapor series, sometimes in the Superfly - but now all those queries can be laid to rest with this bold statement from the United man.
Our army of boot spotters had picked up on Nani wearing adidas Predator boots in training earlier in the week, but these pictures of Nani in the adizero may make for some uncomfortable viewing with Swoosh fans.
Nani is the latest household name convert who has switched allegienace in speed boots - Chelsea's Nicolas Anelka, a former Puma v1 fan, and the ongoing will-he-won't-he with Barcelona's Dani Alves are just two elite players who now sport the Three stripes on their feet.
The football boots seemed to do the trick as well, with Nani scoring an excellent equaliser in the synthetic White/Pink adizero boots - complete with soft ground sole plate for the Reebok Stadium turf.
With Manchester United's UEFA Champions League trip to Valencia this week, all Boot Spotting eyes will be on Nani now to see whether this is just a one-off, or if he has switched to the adizero for good...
