Cesc Fabregas Spotted in Puma Football Boots
UPDATE 26/9 - Could this be the most sensational boot story we've had for some time?! As lead Nike player Cesc Fabregas, the man who launched the Nike CTR range and has been the face of since, amazingly looks to be switching allegiance to Puma!
Having just added Aguero to their portfolio of players, it looks like Puma have pulled off another major coup once again from right under the noses of Nike, as Cesc Fabregas was spotted training for Barcelona wearing a mystery Puma football boot.
There was plenty of speculation on various forums and sites that Fabregas had been wearing a prototype Nike CTR Maestri III, when spotted in a mystery white boot (see below). But we think putting the pieces of the puzzle together, and looking at the images available, that Cesc is wearing the same boots we've seen Mikel Arteta and Joey Barton in, speculated to be the new Puma PowerCat 1.12 football boots.
21/9 - Cesc Fabregas has sent ripples through the boots community, after he was spotted wearing a mystery pair of white-out football boots in training for Barcelona. There's been plenty of speculation as to the identity of Cesc's footwear, so what boots does the SoccerBible community think Cesc is testing...
The images provided are courtesy of the FC Barcelona website, and were brought to our attention by Twitter follower @ardaenwebb. They're not the most clear images, but from what we can make out the boots feature off-centre lacing and multiple studs at the fore.
Cesc Fabregas has been a Nike athlete for over 8 years, and there are suggestions that this could be the next CTR, yet interestingly a white prototype boot isn't something you'd usually associate with Nike. Be assured our Boot Spy reporters are on the case, and won't rest until there's a definitive answer to what football boots Cesc is play testing.
