If you thought adidas' re-design of the adiPower was a big step for the Predator, you haven't seen anything yet! From the looks of things, we're in for a whole new boot once again with focus seemingly shifting even further into the 'control' territory.
With a complete redesign and all-new technologies, adidas designers have started afresh for the new Predator. Developments have been made to a new synthetic upper in an effort to create a boot that promotes improved ball control and feel - a major shift from 'Power' Predator's of the past.
Unlike Nike, who have a four-silo break down of their soccer shoes (Speed, Power, Control, Touch) adidas will continue with three as the Predator develops further into a control enhancing boot. The new adidas Predator will follow in the footsteps of the adizero miCoach. It will become the first Predator to feature the revolutionary technology.
This isn't the first time our SoccerBible Boot Spy has reported back with similar images of adidas' latest blacked-out prototypes. Michael Ballack kicked off the speculation with a 'Type 1' edition back in July. Now with further developments made to the boot, adidas have equipped their lead Predator athlete with the new boot to see just how they perform!
The new adidas Predator will be a huge talking point up to its release next year prior to the EURO 2012 tournament. Let us know what you think about the new adidas Predator. Are adidas right to re-define what a 'Predator' is? Share your thoughts online, on Twitter and on Facebook
