Ever wondered how many pairs of football boots a player takes to a major international tournament? Well, now the FA have given us a sneak peek into the England Boot Room for Euro 2012, and there's enough boots to fill the floor of one room.

 It's a boot collection to admire, and certainly a colourful one, as the England players have their boots lined-up ready for training sessions and matches proper. It's an interesting insight as we get to see how many pairs of boots a player will pack, some taking just three pairs, whilst other players have over five pairs including new, old, firm ground and soft ground variations. <img src="/images/archive/FA_Bootroom_Rooney1.jpg" alt="" /> <img src="/images/archive/FA_Bootroom_Rooney2.jpg" alt="" /> Taking a closer look we can see Wayne Rooney has packed seven pairs of boots, including two different colourways (one of course being his Clash Collection boots) and sole-plates for all surfaces. Casting your eye further down the line we see Andy Carroll's Speciali's, it looks like the striker has taken about six pairs and has his St George Collection along with white and black standard boots. <img src="/images/archive/FA_Bootroom_Gerrard.jpg" alt="" /> <img src="/images/archive/FA_Bootroom_Pantof.jpg" alt="" /> England captain Steven Gerrard appears to have packed some new and some old boots, as Gerrard has a couple of pairs of the new Pred LZ but also two pairs of his trusty Pred adiPower's. More interestingly, just near Gerrard's boots we noticed three pairs of Pantofola d'Oro Lazzarini's in black leather, we'd love to find otu the owner of those boots and suspect it could be for a member of the coaching staff, as the boots don't have stand-out branding.

Boot branding is clearly quite a sensitive subject in the England camp, as shown here with England manager Roy Hodgson. Although clearly sporting a pair of adidas Copa Mundials, the three stripes have been blacked-out and an Umbro logo added on the heel!
