Salomon Kalou Play Tests New adizero
Salomon Kalou has been spotted testing what appears to be the new adidas adizero. Long-term F50 wearer Kalou recently made the move to Lille, and in recent friendlies has been wearing a mystery blacked-out boot. At SoccerBible we've got exclusive photography of Kalou and his boots...
In the current eccentric and colourful boot market, a player wearing a blacked-out boot tends to draw more attention to a players footwear. Very rarely do we see a player simply sporting a pair of black boots, so when we spotted Kalou in a pair we decided to investigate further!
Salomon Kalou has worn adidas F50 football boots his entire career, so when the Ivorian forward was spotted wearing a blacked-out pair of boots we can be pretty certain it's a glimpse at the latest incarnation of the adidas speed range. Having worn the boots his entire professional career, Kalou is also one of the brand's prime candidates to offer feedback on how the new boots perform.
With Lionel Messi being the best footballer on the planet and playing for Barcelona, it makes sense to offer the secret prototype to Kalou to play test, as he is now playing in the less publicised French League. However, that hasn't meant Kalou and the boot have escaped the attention of our SoccerBible Boot Spy. But what do these images reveal?
Not a great deal to be honest. We can make out what appear to be the adidas three-stripes, which have moved to the outside fore area of the boot, and the upper looks to have a unique new texture so we can assume Kalou is sporting the synthetic upper. We can also see the prototype boots retain the adidas Sprintframe outsole, a one-piece that wraps around the heel and features triangular studs.
Salomon Kalou has given us a sneak preview at what we assume is the new F50 adizero, of course we can't say that it is for sure, but if we get the official word from adidas we will of course share this with the SoccerBible fans.
