Gary Hooper Tests New Warrior Boots

Gary Hooper Tests New Warrior Boots

Celtic's Gary Hooper has given us an up-close sneak peek at the new Warrior Sports football boots currently in testing. Take a close look at the picture Hooper tweeted, of a boot that seems to be packed with design...

When SoccerBible spoke exclusively with Kenny McCallum, Head of Product Marketing at Warrior Sports, back in July, he informed us: "We've got a product more or less ready to get on trial. It won't hit consumers we don't think until November/December this year, and players will be seen in it just prior to this in September/October, maybe a blacked-out pair in training".

Well the black-out pair Kenny suggested seem to be the boots delivered to Celtic striker Gary Hooper to play test. At first glance they certainly appear to be an interesting boot, both in terms of design aesthetics and tech innovation. But to help complete the picture of the new Warrior Sports football boots, let's remind ourselves that this test boot has also been worn by Premier League winning captain Vincent Kompany back in July.

First appearances suggest the prototype Warrior football boots will sit in the Control category, with an off-centre lacing system enlarging the toe and instep covered in a 'ball control' element. The boot collar and heel looks to be padded, comfortable and secure, whilst the studs appear to be a two-composite blades. Of course, once we hear more info and get the official word from Warrior, we'll be sure to share it first with SoccerBible fans.

Warrior Sports are one of football's newcomers, and when these test boots are colourised we imagine they'll be quite an eye-catching release, especially with the tech and distinctive pattern. Let us know what you think and join the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
