Jerome Boateng Trains In Upcoming Tiempo Colourway

Jerome Boateng became the latest Nike endorsed player to give us a sneak preview of one of Nike's Fall/Winter 12 colour updates. The unreleased blue and white colourway Boateng was sporting in training, is certainly the most bold look we've seen yet for the Nike Tiempo IV football boots.

When a new Nike boot or colour update is on the horizon, the web becomes a hive of activity as leaked images, player tweets and training snaps ultimately reveal a new boot ahead of it's official launch. But it's not necessarily a bad thing, as it adds to the buzz and hype surrounding the new release, and we can certainly expect there to be plenty of talk around what is a stark new look for the Tiempo range.

We've become more accustomed to seeing a classic white or black look to the Tiempo football boots, with maybe the odd bold splash or volt, orange, red or gold. But this all-blue edition is probably the most eye-catching we've seen since Nike launched their WC elite version back in 2010. Possibly taking inspiration from the adidas adipure palette, this is certainly quite an experimental look for the Tiempo range, one which will be interesting to see the reaction to.

Scheduled for launch later this month, we'll be keen to see the player uptake for the new look. But we've got a sneaky suspicion Nike had a few of their lead assets in mind when designing the new colours, so we can expect to see Tiempo stalwarts Gerard Pique, Ashley Cole and Andrea Pirlo all sporting the blue/white Tiempo's.

The Tiempo missed out on it's splash of colour with the Euro 2012 Clash Collection, but Nike have more than made up for this with their latest addition to the range. And by the look of Luiz Gustavo's new Vapor's, which have also been spotted on Pato and Robinho, we can expect some colourful new launches come the end of the month.

What are your thoughts on Nike's new colourway? We'll be bringing you more first-hand images of the boot exclusively online soon. For now, let us know your first impressions. Join the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
