Pato & Robinho Train In New Mercurial Colourway

The Nike Vapor VIII is ready to make its first major splash since the European Championships. Brazilian duo Alexandre Pato and Robinho have given us our best look yet at the new unreleased Vapor VIII colourway on the eve of their Champions League tie with Anderlecht.

The bright blue and orange colourway will be the fifth release to the Vapor VIII range and will be part of Nike's Fall/Winter 2012 collection scheduled for launch later this month. Check out our imagery of Pato Robinho's first run-out wearing the super-slick boots.

The colourway has obviously made an impression on Pato, who has made a return to the Mercurial silo after a season of wearing the Nike T90 Laser IV. Following the low player-uptake of the Seaweed/Volt/Challenge Red Vapor VIII, we're backing this boot to finally replace the White/Red Clash colourway currently on the feet of most Vapor wearers.

This weekend's high profile Premier League fixtures will set the stage for a perfect launch with Arsenal taking on Man City and Man United playing Liverpool - expect to see new colourways across all four of Nike's silos. Before then, all eyes will be on the San Siro to see if Pato Robinho give the boots their first taste of Champions League football.

What are your thoughts on Nike's new colourway? We'll be bringing you more first-hand images of the boot exclusively online soon. For now, let us know your first impressions. Join the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
