Inter Players Test New adidas Boots

Inter Players Test New adidas Boots

It seems adidas have taken the opportunity to covertly supply two of their established players with test boots, whilst attention is on the international break and World Cup qualifying. In training for Inter Milan, it appears Diego Milito and Esteban Cambiasso are sporting the new adizero and a new adidas Control boot.

The boots on show here we have seen before, the adizero previously worn by Salomon Kalou and the Control boot tested by Sven Bender. The significance of now seeing the Inter Milan pair sporting the same football boots, is it's an indication adidas are closer and have potentially arrived at the final production model.

We're not naive to the leaked images that are rife across the web, indeed they help to inform boot fans ahead of new launches. But we are aware, that right up until the official unveiling boots can be subject to change/redevelopment, and in some extreme cases (our lips are sealed on this!) be completely pulled. Which makes this boot spot exciting, as the blacked-out test boots Milito and Cambiasso are wearing are a step closer to the finished model.

Diego Milito is an adizero wearer, and the sole-plate is a clear indication the boots he is sporting are F50. The design features a bold diagonal look with a repositioning of the adidas three stripes, and appear to be leather versions which would match Milito's preferred boot choice.

Very little is known of the boots Esteban Cambiasso was testing, other than we've seen them on-pitch before and they're radically different to anything we've seen from adidas. When Sven Bender debuted what are being dubbed as 'Control' boots, there was a stand-out strip spanning across the boot which is apparent on Cambiasso's pair, albeit blacked-out.

Whatever adidas announce the boots to be, has huge potential implications on the future of the Predator. Nike have proven with the success of their CTR range the demand is there in the marketplace for a Control boot, which has led to the educated guess adidas are developing a one. But with Cambiasso a long-term Predator wearer, and the Predator seemingly moving into the realms of Control rather than Power, could we in fact be looking at the next generation Predator or it's successor?
