Next-Gen F50 To Have Two-Piece Upper?
adidas to bring an all new upper design to the upcoming F50?
Fresh pictures of Karim Benzema's prototype adizero boots have revealed what looks to be a new two-piece upper design across the boot, giving us our strongest indication yet of what to expect from the next generation adizero.
Our close-up pictures reveal what wasn't visible from our earlier look at the boots, but with Madrid returning to training today, Benzema's boots were back on show. The new-look design could signal the biggest shake-up to the F50 line since the launch of the adizero back in 2010. Something that's sure to excite adidas fans.
The Real Madrid no.9 has been selected by adidas to test-drive their new speed model prior to their unconfirmed release date later this year. With the pro-testing phase in motion, we're putting our money on a November launch, which would put it in line with previous adizero releases.
How long before we see Gareth Bale testing the new adidas F50 adizero model?
Visually the three stripe branding has been re-positioned across the front upper while a closer look at the tongue reveals a slightly reworked design. As for the outsole, we expect it to be built using the same SprintFrame construction but there have been whispers of a new stud alignment.
The adizero set the groundwork in lightweight football boot technology, but since being launched in line with the 2010 World Cup, the silo has stood relatively still. Now with another World Cup on the horizon, we're hoping to see adidas reassert the adizero as the ultimate lightweight speed boot.
