Kaka has become the latest high profile player to be snapped testing the all new adidas Predator. The AC Milan midfielder was laced up in the prototype next generation boot as his side trained ahead of their Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid at the San Siro.

We've already seen Arsenal players including Per Mertesacker and Mesut Özil training in the blackouts, as well as Roma's Miralem Pjanic and Real Madrid trio Iker Casillas, Alvaro Arbeloa and Xabi Alonso, all of whom are, or have been, Predator players in the past.

The second generation Predator LZ has been around for almost a year now, launched in May 2013 the current model has been worn by all of adidas' Predator players this season but all signs are in place for the famous Predator model to pack a different look come the first game of the 2014/15 season.

The name of the new Predator is yet to be officially announced by adidas but the unreleased prototype which Kaka is sporting in these images will be the 14th Predator model since the launch of the first ever Pred in 1994 - A boot that revolutionised football boot technology and continues to shape the way boots are designed 20 years on.

The most obvious observation of Kaka's footwear is that the 'Lethal Zones' are set to stay; the strategically placed pieces of rubber look to have been tweaked and reshaped to offer improved striking, dribbling and passing benefits. The zones have been shifted and repositioned slightly and it'll be interested to see how adidas present these when the first launch colourway drops.

Other than the ball control technology adidas look to have replaced the current Predator LZ tongue with a thinner and more streamline tongue in a bid to reduce excess weight, reminiscent of the one found on the adizero F50 and the SL versions of the LZ model.
