We get our closest look yet at the new adidas F50 Crazylight boots.

Gareth Bale was back training in the adidas Crazylight last week as he reported for international duty. It's not the first time we've seen Bale breaking in his new footwear and as we close in on the second El Clasico of the season (23.06.14), we expect adidas to have their star man in the boots come match day.

Pushing the limits of lightweight boot design is an area adidas have excelled in over recent years. The breakthrough adizero Prime remains adidas' lightest production F50 to date - a boot that weighed a staggering 145g. Incredibly today's standard f50 adizero model tips the scales at just 150g, a whole 15g less than the original adizero launched in 2010.

Once again we find ourselves asking the question, "what will they do next?" We've already been given a look into the future of F50 design when adidas unveiled the mind-blowing 99g boot in May 2013. The Crazylight is expected to be the next step on adidas' road to 99g and will for sure be the brand's lightest ever boot to hit the market.

Following the recent launch of the Samba Primeknit, the Crazylight will be the next project to come out of the adidas Innovation Lab. The design of Bale's boots take on a bolder vibe than anything we've seen before from the F50 line. A bright yellow upper hosts black patterned chevrons which move along the side of the boot and towards the toe.

The outsole has been designed with the same high-speed stud alignment but could come with a unique reflective design. Despite Bale's custom built outsole, we expect the retail editions to feature the standard miCoach cavity cell.

We expect the boots to launch as a limited edition, meaning they're likely to come with a higher price tag, much like the adizero Prime that retailed worldwide for £210 GBP/ $320 USD. For now all information is TBC. Stick with us for more updates.
