THE PICK OF THE WEEK'S BEST BOOTS FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE.
Marco Reus (Germany) Puma evoPOWER Tricks
Marco Reus will be one of PUMA's lead players in Brazil this summer. Like all of PUMA's top players, the German international has been training in the brand's Tricks football boots, lacing up in the evoPOWER model. PUMA might have masterminded a genius move with their odd coloured boots that are sure to get a lot of attention in Brazil. Simple but very effective.
Kevin Grosskreutz (Germany) Nike Mercurial Superfly IV
We're beginning to see more and more players lace up in the Nike Mercurial Superfly IV. Long term Mercurial wearer Kevin Grosskreutz has made the switch to the Flyknit football boots and was recently spotted giving his new boots their first run-out at Germany's World Cup training camp in Italy.
Franck Ribéry (France) Nike Mercurial Superfly IV
Franck Ribery will go into the 2014 World Cup as one of Nike's more unsung Mercurial players. The French international's place on the left of the France attack is no longer guaranteed but Nike will be hoping the Bayern Munich star can reproduce some of tantalising form that saw him shortlisted for the 2013 Ballon d'Or.
Thibaut Courtois (Atletico Madrid) Nike Magista Opus
Atletico shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois opted for the Nike Magista Opus for last weeks Champions League final against Real Madrid. The Belgian keeper who made a name for himself last season wearing the CTR360 made the natural switch into the low-cut Magista Opus and also slipped into Nike's new Premier SGT World Cup gloves.
Gabi (Atletico Madrid) Puma evoPOWER Tricks
Despite an impressive season for Atletico Madrid, PUMA will be disappointed Gabi won't be travelling to Brazil with the Spain squad. The midfielder was impressive in the Champions League final wearing the PUMA evoPOWER Tricks boots. It's likely to go down as Gabi's only performance wearing the odd coloured boots before he joins back up with the Atletico squad following the World Cup. One for the collection at least.
Arda Turan (Atletico Madrid) Nike Magista Obra
Nike were no doubt hoping Arda Turan was passed fit to play in the Champions League final, releasing the rather brilliant 'Turkish Magician' video. Despite training with the squad wearing the Magista Obra, the flying winger was forced to watch the match on the sidelines. If we're to see Turan in the Magista Obra, we'll have to wait until next season with Turkey missing out on the summer's tournament.
Sami Khedira (Real Madrid) Nike Magista Obra
Sami Khedira's first performance in the Nike Magista Obra might not have been his best but the Real Madrid midfielder ensured some on-pitch presence for one of Nike's headline Flyknit football boots. The German international will be packing his mid-cut boots for Brazil and looks to have settled into the Magista Obra quickly.
Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) Nike Mercurial Vapor IX
We don't expect to see Cristiano in the new Mercurial Superfly IV until Portugal's opening World Cup game. Real Madrid's no.7 helped his side to La Decima wearing the Nike Mercurial Vapor IX Fast Forward 10 editions bespoke with a custom Teijin upper. There's a lot of pressure on Ronnie's feet this summer. Nike will be hoping he flies the Mercurial flag high.
Conca (Fluminense) Mizuno Morelia
Darío Conca's white-out Mizuno Morelia boots always catch our eye and we're not going to apologies for featuring them again. The Argentinian Fluminense midfielder has been wearing them since April and it's impossible not to take notice. Look at that leather, you can practically smell it.
Adrien Rabiot (France U21) adidas Predator LZ
PSG's young French midfielder Adrien Rabiot made a one-off appearance wearing a pair of miadidas Predator LZ boot for France's U21 fixture against China. The 19-year-old, who looks like he's got an eye for boot design, could be a big name for adidas in the future.
Juan Delgado (Chile) Nike Mercurial Vapor IX
Juan Delgado - a Chilian U20 striker - caught our eye last week, stepping out in the Nike Mercurial Vapor IX Fast Forward 10 editions. Don't know much about him? Neither do we (he plays for Primera División de Chile side Colo-Colo if you're interested) but his boots are worthy of a shout-out. Who know, maybe we'll see him again.
Jackson Martínez (Colombia) Nike Magista Obra
Porto striker Jackson Martinez fluttered between the Mercurial and HyperVenom last season and now the Colombian international has been spotted sporting a blacked-out pair of Nike Magista Obra boots during Colombia's World Cup farewell friendly.
