To celebrate Leo Messi's 27th birthday adidas supplied the Argentine with a birthday edition pair of adizero f50 Messi boots. The Argentine slipped in to his new boots for a birthday training session ahead of his side's final group game against Nigeria.
Only 27 pairs have been produced worldwide, however this is the only time they'll be seen on pitch as Messi is scheduled to continue wearing the Messi Edition Battle Pack F50 when he lines up against Nigeria on Wednesday afternoon.
Messi's birthday present from adidas features a bold colour scheme of green, blue, pink, orange and white. As far as how the 27 pairs are being dished out, they won't be hitting shelves, Messi will bag one pair (seems only fair) and the rest will be given away by adidas and select partners, including us.
