Our weekly round-up of the football boots that grabbed our attention as pre-season continues.
Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea) Puma evoPOWER
Chelsea new boy Cesc Fabregas turned out in a 2-1 win over Olimpija Ljubljana with a new haircut and new boots as he slipped into the updated Fluorescent Yellow PUMA evoPOWER.
Israel Jimenez (Tijuana) adidas Copa Mundial
Mexico's Tijuana have a strange policy where all players must wear red boots. This unique rule throws up numerous boot spots with players having to customise their favourite boots. The latest player to adapt his footwear is Israel Jimenez who's edited his Copa Mundials, although he might have to work on his colouring in skills.
Bruno Zuculini (Manchester City) Nike GS2
Man City youngster Bruno Zuculini opened his goalscoring account against Sporting Kansas City wearing the limited edition Nike GS2 boot. The GS2 was worn by a select squad of younger Nike players with Eden Hazard staying in the super-light boot for the longest period of time.
Roy Miller (New York Red Bulls) adidas Nitrocharge
New York Red Bulls' Roy Miller gave the next generation adidas Nitrocharge a run out in their friendly against Arsenal at the weekend. The second Nitrocharge is scheduled for an August release in the bright orange colourway worn by Miller.
Brad Friedel (Tottenham Hotspur) Under Armour Clutchfit Force
Spurs' veteran stopper Brad Friedel joined Michael Dawson in the new Under Armour Clutchfit Force colourway during the club's tour of the United States. The second colour up on the Clutchfit drops in white/black/yellow.
Gary Cahill (Chelsea) adidas Predator Instinct
Gary Cahill opted for the alternative Predator Instinct colourway to match up with his Chelsea home kit at the weekend. The blue paint job isn't expected to feature much on pitch with adidas preferably dishing out the traditional black/red/white launch colourway to their athletes.
Thierry Henry (New York Red Bulls) Puma evoSPEED 1.3
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry lined up against his old club for New York Red Bulls wearing the special edition PUMA evoSPEED colourway set to be worn exclusively by Arsenal players this season. Henry looks to have customised his boots with his preferred King soleplate and a leather upper.
Sammy Ameobi (Newcastle United) Nike Mercurial Superfly IV
Sammy Ameobi loves his football boots, anyone who follows him on Twitter or Instagram will know that. The latest boot to the Ameobi collection is a custom black/white version of the Superfly. On first glance it looks to be the Stealth Pack edition but the lack of pink colouring on the Dynamic Fit Collar makes us think Sammy has either coloured it in or sorted out his own pair on NikeiD, either way, it's going to look pretty slick with the Newcastle home kit.
Jonathan Douglas (Brentford) Nike HyperVenom
Championship new boys Brentford hosted Nice this weekend and Jonathan Douglas was wearing our pick of the boots on show with an all blacked-out version of the Nike HyperVenom.
Luciano (Corinthians) adidas Primeknit
Corinthians' Luciano became the first player to be spotted in the new white/black/solar red adidas Primeknit last week. Unlike the previous colourway worn by Luis Suarez, the latest release isn't expected to be seen on pitch by lead adidas players. Looks good, even if it was shot on a 2005 Samsung flip camera phone.
Steven Pienaar (Everton) Puma evoSPEED 1.3
Steven Pienaar was amongst the first set of players to switch into PUMA's new Prism Violet/Fluorescent Yellow evoSPEED colourway, which will be worn in the opening matches of the new season.
