THE PICK OF THE WEEK'S BOOT SPOTTING FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE.
Liam Palmer (Sheffield Wednesday) adidas Predator Instinct
Liam Palmer has become somewhat of a boot spotting regular in recent seasons. The Sheffield Wednesday man has began the season wearing a pair of custom blue/white Predator Instincts to match his home side's colours and he was sporting them during Wednesday's televised 1-0 defeat to Forest on Saturday.
Miles Storey (Portsmouth) Nike Mercurial Superfly IV
Cristiano Ronaldo was expected to debut the new 'Electric Green' Superfly on Monday against Cordoba but opted to remain in the Hyper Punch colourway. So with Nike waiting for their man to switch Portsmouth's Miles Storey took it upon himself to debut the bright update against Stoke in the Capital One Cup.
Scott McDonald (Millwall) adidas Predator Instinct Accelerator
We didn't think it would take long to spot a pair of the adidas 'Revenge Pack' on pitch, how could anyone resist? The nostalgia-soaked re-releases have been the most welcomed launch of the new season and Millwall's Scott McDonald grabbed a pair of the limited edition Accelerator '98's to wear against Blackpool at the weekend.
Paul Pogba (Juventus) adidas Predator Instinct Accelerator
The most high-profile player to lace up in the 1998 Predator Accelerator re-release at the weekend was Paul Pogba. The Juventus midfielder has recently switched back to adidas after a brief spell with Nike and slipped into the Accelerator Instinct complete with folded back tongue. How we've missed them...
Alex Nicholls (Northampton) Nike GS2
Alex Nicholls pulled a pair of Nike GS2 boots out of the archive at the weekend. The second generation of Nike's lightest ever football boot was released in very limited numbers and only worn by a select number of Nike atheltes including Eden Hazard and Raheem Sterling.
Matt Partridge (Dagenham & Redbridge) Umbro Speciali 4
It's always nice to see a pair of Umbro Speciali's knocking around in the football league. The old-school heritage boot was unmissable on the feet of Dagenham & Redbridge's Matt Partridge as he wore the bright orange colourway against Oxford in a 3-3 draw at the weekend.
Hasan al-Haidous (Al-Sadd) Nike Mercurial Superfly IV
Hasan al-Haidous' custom Superfly IV boots are easily one of the best iD jobs we've seen so far this season. The metallic red upper joined by the black Swoosh and white laces create a top combination of colourways that would be a hit should Nike decide to drop an official release.
Guillaume Gillet (Bastia) adidas Primeknit
Bastia's Guillaume Gillet was training in the white/black/solar red adidas Primeknit colourway this week. Unlike the fist ever Primeknit worn by Luis Suarez the latest drop hasn't received any official player support on-pitch, only 500 pairs of the boots have been released so the chances of seeing a pair on the top stage may rest with Gillet.
Luke Berry (Barnsley) Nike T90 Laser III
The HyperVenom replaced the T90 Laser back in May 2013 but Luke Berry has managed to keep hold of pair as his preferred boot choice. There isn't many pairs left on the pro-scene but the Barnsley midfielder laced up in a pair for his side's trip to Yeovil on Saturday.
Gareth Bale (Real Madrid) adidas F50 adizero
Gareth Bale finally switched into the latest F50 colourway on Monday against Cordoba and was in action wearing them again in Sunday's 4-2 defeat to Sociedad. Paired up with that incredibly pink away kit the boots complete one of the boldest looks in football, a look that shouldn't work, but strangely does.
Jasmin Handanovic (Maribor) Nike Tiempo Legend V
Maribor qualified for the Champions League Group Stages by knocking out Celtic in midweek. Maribor's goalkeeper Jasmin Handanovic was wearing his personalised Nike Tiempo V colourway for the trip to Scotland, a tidy black/blue combo.
Jonathan Walters (Stoke City) adidas Copa Mundial
Jon Walters is another player who's no stranger to boot spotting. The Stoke striker has previously been seen wearing Pantofola d'Oro boots and limited edition colourways and he's added another to his collection by playing in the whiteout adidas Copa Mundials in midweek.
Yannick Bolasie (Crystal Palace) Nike Mercurial Superfly IV
A week of regulars is completed with another Yannick Bolasie boot spot. The skillful Palace winger mixes things up with he boots and after wearing the F50 adizero against Arsenal last week was seen tearing up St James' Park in the Stealth Pack Superfly IV.
