Global Boot Spotting

It's Monday, it's boot-spotting. Get stuck in as we bring you our selection of the best boots on show from planet football.

Manchester City youngster Bersant Celina mixed up his footwear this week by matching his previous generation 'Supernatural' F50 with what must be have been one of his first ever F50 boots launched in 2011 when Celina was just 14-years-old. Either one of his feet hasn't grown since then or he's picked one up recently. Either way, strange choice.

In similar fashion to Charly Musonda's gold Mercurials featured last week Lior Rafaelov has customised a pair of Nike Mercurial Veloce II boots with an all gold upper for a dramatic on-pitch impact. Unlike the Superfly IV, the Vapor X isn't available on NikeiD forcing players to use the takedown Veloce II model if they want to get busy with their own designs.

New York City FC recorded their first ever MLS win at the weekend with a 2-0 at Yankee Stadium against New England Revolution. American heavyweights Under Armour have muscled in on the action by lacing Chris Wingert up in their black/white Clutchfit Force colourway, a boot popular in the States but carries a limited edition tag in the UK.

Maksim Kanunnikov

The limited edition Nike 'Tropical Pack' was released in the run up to the 2014 World Cup. Three Mercurial Vapor IX Amazon Jungle themed prints landed as a collection with just 2500 pairs of each colourway hitting the shelves. Although the 'Tropical Pack' was popular with collectors it received little player support on pitch, with Rubin Kazan's Maksim Kanunnikov one of few players to sport them.

Nabil Bentaleb

Another player to revert to his World Cup footwear at the weekend was Nabil Bentaleb. The Algerian international wore the 'Battle Pack' F50 adizero throughout his country's run to the last 16 in Brazil but switched back into the distinctive editions as Spurs were hammered 3-0 at Old Trafford.

Adam Kukoszka

Adam Kukoszka (FC Torpedo Moscow) adidas Nitrocharge 1.0

Adam Kukoszka began the season in the 'Earth Pack' adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 but his since switched into a complete black-out version of the same boot. Kukoszka's boots take on a prototype-esque look, which would no doubt be a popular release should adidas choose to give the Nitrocharge the same clean blackout treatment offered to the F50 and Predator Instinct.

Albert Adomah

Whenever PUMA land a limited edition collaboration Albert Adomah is always the first man knocking on the door at PUMA HQ. The Middlesbrough attacker has previously sported the Ducati, BMW and original Ferrari editions and he added another to his collection at the weekend by scoring in the new evoSPEED 1.3 F947.

Ezequiel Lavezzi

Ezequiel Lavezzi came out of the latest F50 generation at the weekend in favour of the 2012 edition boot. The yellow/black/green launch colourway was worn by Lavezzi and all lead F50 players at the time of release but it's a boot that Lavezzi himself hasn't worn since February 2013 making this weekend's switch somewhat bizarre.

Khouma Babacar

Up until the new year Khouma Babacar was an adidas contracted player wearing the F50 but since then the Fiorentina man has been laced up in a complete black-out version of the Nike Magista Obra. Whether he's sending Nike a subtle hint that he's interested in removing that black wrap in return for a bit of cash or whether he's already signed with the brand remains unclear.

Darwin Ceren

Orlando City also recorded their first ever MLS victory this week with a slender 1-0 win over Houston Dynamo. Orlando's Darwin Ceren claimed top boot spotting honours by wearing the Crazylight edition of the adidas F50 adizero, a boot that weighs a whopping 10g less than the standard version but £100 heavier.

Charlie Adam

Charlie Adam did his best impression of Fiona Butler's famous 'Tennis Girl' photo at the weekend. Only this one features a hairy arsed rough-looking, slightly overweight Scotsman in a Stoke kit and a pair of Nike Magista Opus boots. Just thank us that the zoomed-in image is of the boot.
