Global Boot Spotting

It's Monday, it's boot-spotting. Get stuck in as we bring you our selection of the best boots on show from planet football.

Humberto Suazo

Humberto Suazo (Colo Colo) Nike Tiempo Premier

Designed and inspired by Roma legend Francesco Totti with only 3,000 pairs worldwide. So who does the first on-pitch performance go to? Colo Colo striker Humberto Suazo. The Chilean turned out for Colo Colo's 2015 Libertadores Cup match against Colombia's Santa Fe wearing the limited edition Nike Tiempo Legend V Premium.

Khouma Babacar

Khouma Babacar (Fiorentina) Nike Magista Obra

After switching from the adidas f50 adizero at the beginning of the year, Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar has been doing his business in a blacked out pair of Nike Magista Obra boots. The Senegalese international has given his Magista boots a thick layer of black marker treatment and damn, they don't half look good.

Ilkay Guendogan

Ilkay Guendogan (Borussia Dortmund) Nike Magista Obra

Another player who's doing his time in a black-out Nike Magista Obra is Borussia Dortmund's Ilkay Guendogan. The German midfielder seemingly cut any relationship he had with Nike at the turn of 2014 and is still on the look out for a sponsor. Any potential suitors might be waiting to see where his club future lies, with his Dortmund contract set to expire in 2016.

Isaka Cernak

Isaka Cernak gave us another look at his beautifully modified Nike Mercurial Superfly IV boots as the Central Coast Mariners took on the Newcastle Jets. The midfielder has taken the simple but effective approach of blacking out the "Hyper Pink" Swoosh on either side of his Superfly boots.

Carl Medjani

Mehmet Ekici jumped into the adidas f50 adizero Blaugrana for Trabzonspor's UEFA Europa League Round of 32 match against Napoli. The Turkish midfielder had previously been wearing the "Glow/Green/Zest" colourway before making the odd switch into Messi's Champions League exclusive design.

Samuel Eto'o

Samuel Eto'o (Sampdoria) Puma evoSPEED 1.2

Samuel Eto'o is still putting himself in the shop window for any brand mad enough to offer money to a 33-year-old striker who's playing no.99 for Sampdoria. The former Everton and Chelsea man is still doing his best to disguise his PUMA evoSPEED football boots, ever since his deal with the German brand expired last year.

Lucas Biglia
Lucas Biglia

Lucas Biglia (Lazio) adidas f50 adizero

The "Core Black/Silver" f50 adizero isn't an official on-pitch colourway from adidas, so when they do make an appearance across Europe we like to call them out. Argentine international Lucas Biglia stepped out in the boots for Lazio's Serie A fixture against US Sassuolo Calcio, sporting the popular leather editions of the colourway.

Carlos Bacca

Carlos Bacca (Sevilla) adidas f50 adizero

Carlos Bacca is another striker who's making his availability known. The Sevilla no.9 was sporting his blacked-out adidas f50 adizero boots for Sevilla's UEFA Europa League Round of 32 against Borussia Moenchengladbach. With whispers of a potential move to Tottenham Hotspur, it might not be long before a brand puts some money on the table for the Colombian international.

Danilo Larangeira

Danilo Larangeira (Udinese) Lotto Solista

Udinese's Danilo stepped out in an unreleased boot from Lotto over the weekend. The Brazilian defender was first spotted testing a mystery Lotto protoype last year and after initial suggestions (admittedly from us) that this could be the next generation Zhero Gravity, we're now getting words that Danilo's distinctive green boots will be the new Lotto Solista, due for release this summer.

Jan Rosenthal

Jan Rosenthal (SV Darmstadt 98) adidas Copa Mundial

If you follow your second-tier Bundesliga football, then you would have seen Jan Rosenthal score for Darmstadt wearing the unquestionably cool white/white adidas Copa Mundial football boots as his side took on Eintracht Braunschweig. OK neither did we, but this still has to go down as one of the spots of the week.

Marcos Rojo

Marcos Rojo (Manchester United) Nike Mercurial Superfly IV

Marcos Rojo doesn't care that the "Highlight Pack" is technically reserved for Champions League players, of course he doesn't. After all, the Argentine has played in a World Cup final. The Manchester United defender made his first appearance wearing the "Volt/Hyper Pink Black" Superfly colourway as United took on Sunderland at Old Trafford.
