Some players adapt faster to new boots than others, it can often take time to become accustomed to a complete re-design and Bastian Schweinsteiger is still getting to grips with the adidas X15.1 by adding his own modifications.
The Bayern Munich midfielder is set to wear the new generation silo in Germany's friendly with USA this week and he's been training in a customised version of the leather X15 boot. Schweinsteiger is known for his resistance when it comes to new boots having overlooked the 2015 F50 adizero in favour of the previous edition last season.
The most distinct feature on the German's boot are the SprintFrame sole plates borrowed from his trusty 2014 F50 boots, which is prominent on the heel of the boot and in turn reduces the size of the adidas Performance logo. Heavy modification isn't unusual amongst professional and adidas will just be pleased to see him sporting their latest innovation. The Serbian flag on the boot? We can only assume that would be influenced by tennis playing girlfriend Ana Ivanovic who would presumably wear the Ace...
