It's Monday, it's boot-spotting. Get stuck in as we bring you our selection of the best boots on show from planet football.
Steven Gerrard (LA Galaxy) adidas ACE 15.1
Steven Gerrard made his highly anticipated LA Galaxy debut at the weekend in a 2-1 win over Club America. After calling time on his distinguished career in England the Liverpool legend marked a new era in his career in a new kit and a new boot as he laced up in the adidas ACE 15.1 for the first time.
Pablo Punyed (El Salvador) Under Armour Clutchfit
Pablo Punyed is flying the flag for Under Armour at the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup in America. The El Salvador midfielder was sporting the latest Black/Green Clutchfit colourway as his side drew their opening game 1-1 with Costa Rica in Houston.
Minor Lopez (Guatemala) Nike Hypervenom
10-man Guatemala put in a resolute defensive performance to grind out a 0-0 draw with Mexico in their second Gold Cup group game. In the few times that the ball did reach the Mexican half Guatemalan forward Minor Lopez could be spotted wearing the all black Nike "Academy Pack" Hypervenom.
Sheldon Bateau (Trinidad & Tobago) adidas X 15.1
Another player keeping things low-key in the Gold Cup this week was Trinidad & Tobago defender Sheldon Bateau wearing the most recent adidas X 15.1 update. The "Black/Solar Yellow/Night Metallic" colourway offers a more conservative option in comparison to the bright launch edition and is proving to be a popular choice amongst non-brand-contracted players.
Jade Bailey (Arsenal) Puma evoPOWER 1.2
Arsenal Ladies gave an early on-pitch preview of the new club home shirt this week during their WSL match against Liverpool. Jade Bailey completed the all PUMA look by matching up the new Gunners strip with PUMA's latest evoPOWER 1.2 colourway in "White/Total Eclipse/Lava Blast".
Derrick Williams (Bristol City) adidas ACE 15.1
Keeping a part of their revolution centered around heritage adidas have catered for the needs of players who prefer a traditional feel by offering up their X and ACE silos in leather uppers. You won't spot many of adidas' contracted players in the boots but Bristol City's Derrick Williams was giving them a pre-season workout against Bath City this week.
Will Buckley (Sunderland) adidas F50 adizero
Will Buckley has been spotted on several occasions rocking old pairs of boots from the F50 adizero series. The Sunderland striker's latest throwback came in the form of the "Silver/Infrared" drop from August 2012, a boot worn to kickstart the 2012/13 campaign and a realisation at how quickly technology has progressed in just three seasons.
Dejan Jankovic (Canada) Puma Para Mexico
Canada's Dejan Jankovic had us scratching our heads this week as the international laced up in a rare edition of the PUMA Para Mexico in his country's Gold Cup match against El Salvador. Not a boot that's spotted too often due to its limited numbers made and released in Japan.
Marija Banusic (Chelsea) adidas X 15.1
Chelsea's Swedish forward Marija Banusic was in action against Bristol Academy wearing the currently unreleased "Solar Blue" adidas X15.1 colourway on Sunday. The latest update is beginning to appear on the feet of a limited number of adidas professionals as European clubs begin to report back for pre-season.
Ariel Martinez (Cuba) Joma Propulsion 3.0
Cuba's Gold Cup campaign ended rather quickly after a 6-0 thrashing from Mexico and a 2-0 defeat to Trinidad & Tobago condemned them to an unsurprising group stage exit. Ariel Martinez was the pick of the boot spotting action from the Cuban side wearing the "Black/Silver/Lime" Joma Propulsion 3.0.
Julian de Guzman (Canada) Nike Magista Obra
When the "Black/Rough Green/Hyper Crimson" Nike Magista Obra landed in April this year it was widely welcomed as one of the most underrated colour combinations to land on the silo, but a limited amount of player support combined with a number of more extravagant releases has somewhat made it the forgotten release. In all probability that's added to it's cool factor and Julian de Guzman gave a timely reminder of that this week.
