It's Monday, it's boot-spotting. Get stuck in as we bring you our selection of the best boots on show from planet football.

Lyon were in action at the Emirates Cup this weekend which provided an early on-pitch look at the eccentric "Hyper Pink" Mercurial Superfly IV. Nike always save something a little bit special for their lead silo and the Superfly is without doubt the ballsiest design from the Lightning Storm Pack with a colourway unmissable on grass.

Sam Nicholson

The pristine adidas 'No Dye' Pack featured very little support from professionals but Hearts' Sam Nicholson snagged a pair of the complete whiteout F50 adizero boot which are environmentally friendly and crafted from a special material to highlight sustainability. He may be saving the planet but Nicholson couldn't save his side slipping to a 3-1 defeat to Everton at the weekend.

Memphis Depay

Memphis Depay (Manchester United) Under Armour Speedform

Memphis Depay got his first taste of big match action in a United shirt in his side's 3-1 win over Barcelona in the USA at the weekend and Under Armour took full advantage of his exposure by switching him out of the leather blackout Speedform and into their "Blue/Red" colourway.

Steed Malbranque

Steed Malbranque (Lyon) adidas ACE 15.1

Lyon's veteran midfielder Steed Malbranque was in pre-season action at the Emirates Stadium with Lyon this week wearing the leather edition of the adidas ACE 15.1 boot. The revolution from adidas saw a dramatic change in direction from the brand but they're also recognising the needs of traditional players by offering their latest silos in leather versions too.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Nike's new Lightning Storm pack dropped this week, designed to give the brand maximum on pitch presence come the new season kick off. The main man in the Swoosh reverted out of his signature boot and into the "Volt" Highlight Pack. It's not as if CR7 is a man who would shy away from a bit of pink but it looks like he's using the down time between signature silos to match his footwear with Real Madrid's new away strip.

Antonio Rukavina

Antonio Rukavina (Villarreal) Mizuno Morelia Neo

Antonio Rukavina's boot/kit combo was very much on point this weekened as the Villarreal defender paired up his side's all yellow home strip with the latest offering from Mizuno in the form of the "Yellow/Black" Morelia Neo. Released alongside an "Orange" edition the duo of new releases will be on the feet on Mizuno's athletes when the new season kicks off.

Jack Wilshere

Arsenal lifted the Emirates Cup at the weekend with a 1-0 win over Wolfsburg. The game offered the platform for Jack Wilshere to give a debut run out the his new Lightning Storm Nike Tiempo Legend V boots, which landed in a bright "Green Strike" colourway to replicate the immaculate pitches awaiting the first kick of the new season.

Toni Kroos

Toni Kroos knows what he likes. The Real Madrid midfielder has remained in the 11Pro rather than jumping aboard the adidas revolution. Pre-season should be the ideal time for players to test new footwear but for a group of certain players it'll always be a case of it it's not broke don't fix it, no matter what new tech is released.

Marco Reus

Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund) Puma evoSPEED SL

Marco Reus has opted for the SL edition of the latest PUMA evoSPEED generation to ride through pre-season. The Borussia Dortmund midfielder was wearing the "Lava Blast" launch colourway of PUMA's lightest ever match fit football boots as his side took on Juventus in Switzerland this week.

James McClean

James McClean has become a boot spotting regular over the past few season during his time at Wigan and on the international scene with Republic of Ireland and the West Brom winger looks to continue to keep us on our toes this season by adding another custom Mercurial Superfly IV colourway to his ever-growing collection.
