Global Boot Spotting

It's Monday, it's boot-spotting. Get stuck in as we bring you our selection of the best boots on show from planet football.

Brooklyn Beckham (Great Britain) adidas Samba Primeknit

David Beckham hosted a Unicef charity match at Old Trafford at the weekend with a number of legendary ex and current pros taking part. Brooklyn Beckham got the nod from his old man to lace up and his boot choice was the pick of the bunch in the form of the adidas Samba Primeknit - the brand's first ever Primeknit boot released in March 2014.

David Beckham (Great Britain) adidas ACE 15.1

Beckham senior was back at his old stomping ground in a post-Predator era which saw him opt for a pair of all white adidas ACE 15.1 boots with personalisation to mark the occasion. The ex-England captain lead his Great Britain and Ireland team to victory against a Rest of the World XI in front of a capacity crowd in Manchester, raising a monumental amount of cash for UNICEF at the same time. The man can do no wrong can he?

Keisuke Honda

Keisuke Honda (Japan) Mizuno Wave Ignitus 4

Keisuke Honda moved into the next-generation Mizuno Wave Ignitus colourway at the weekend during Japan's 2018 World Cup Qualifier against Singapore. The currently unreleased fourth series colourway was made up of a black and white split design similar to the 11Pro SL make-up. Expect to see them drop in the coming weeks. Tidy.

Memphis Depay

Memphis Depay (Netherlands) Under Armour Speedform

If Memphis Depay had scored as many goals as he's had Speedform colourways Man United would be sitting comfortably at the top of the Premier League and Holland would have qualified for Euro 2016. Under Armour's latest all red edition was on show as the Netherlands beat Wales 3-2 in Cardiff on Friday night.

Gigi Buffon

Gigi Buffon (Italy) Puma evoPOWER 1.2

PUMA's latest epic design was planted onto the face of the evoPOWER 1.2 this week and dished out to their pool of professional players. The "POW" edition boots' strong graphics were projected on pitches in international friendlies all over Europe from Gigi Buffon and Giorgio Chiellini in Brussels to Cesc Fabregas in Alicante and Olivier Giroud in Paris.

Stefan Johansen
Stefan Johansen

Stefan Johansen (Norway) adidas ACE 15.1

Norway's Euro 2016 dream ended in play-off heartache at the hands of Hungary, but more importantly it means we'll get to see Gabor Kiraly and his tremendous sweatpants in France. The second best thing to come out of the play-off this week was Stefan Johansen's custom adidas ACE 15.1 boots who tried his very best to match his footwear with the Norwegian flag. Nearly, Stefan.

Michael Owen
Michael Owen

Michael Owen (Great Britain) Umbro Velocita

Michael Owen also returned to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon as part of Beckham's Great Britain and Ireland side, a side that contained zero Irishmen... The ex-England striker was an Umbro regular during his playing days wearing the Speciali for the most part, but Owen turned out in the Velocita silo as he scored a brace in a 3-1 win.

Stefan Okaka
Stefan Okaka

Stefan Okaka (Italy) Nike Tiempo Legend V

Stefan Okaka gave his Tiempo Legend V boots the blackout treatment in Italy's 3-1 defeat to the country where he plys his trade - Belgium. There's more than enough choice for the Anderlecht striker should he want a pair of black boots so we'd assume he was using the international spotlight to bag himself a boot deal.

Maya Yoshida

Maya Yoshida (Japan) Mizuno Wave Ignitus 4

Maya Yoshida was another player laced up in a new Mizuno Wave Ignitus 4 colourway as Japan beat Singapore 3-0. The Southampton defender's orange and black design looks set to be joined by Honda's black and white edition as Mizuno refresh their long serving power boot.

Yordy Reyna

Yordy Reyna (Peru) Nike Mercurial Vapor IX

Yordy Reyna matched up his Fireberry Nike Mercurial Vapor IX boots with a pair of volt laces to compliment the Swoosh on the launch edition of the ninth-gen Vapor. The Peru international obviously hasn't bought into the Superfly hype and has remained in a boot that was originally released in January 2013.

Landon Donovan

Landon Donovan (Rest of the World) Nike Tiempo Legend VI

Landon Donovan took his part in the star-studded Rest of the World team alongside the likes of Cafu and Ronaldinho on Saturday wearing a complete blackout edition of the next-generation Nike Tiempo Legend. The sixth design of the series is set to drop this month and Donovan becomes the latest player spotted getting to grips with the upgrade in the last few weeks.
