It's Monday, it's boot-spotting. Get stuck in as we bring you our selection of the best boots on show from planet football.
Demarai Gray (Leicester City) adidas F50 adizero
Fresh from his recent move from Birmingham City to Premier League leaders Leicester, Demarai Gray got a taste of the big time when he was handed a start in the Foxes' FA Cup defeat to Spurs on Wednesday night. Gray opted for the women's specific colourway of the adidas F50 adizero to mark his first start at the King Power Stadium.
James McClean (West Brom) Nike Mercurial Superfly CR7 324K Gold
James McClean's ever-growing football boot collection has another limited edition design in the shape of the Nike Mercurial Superfly CR7 324K Gold. The West Brom winger switched into Ronaldo's latest signature release as his side drew 0-0 with basement side Aston Villa on Saturday.
Jason Hoffman (Newcastle Jets) Puma evoSPEED SL
Jason Hoffman was reppin' the lesser-spotted, but arguably one of the finest evoSPEED SL Leather designs this week. The "Black/Safety Yellow" colourway failed to receive any official on-pitch support by any of PUMA's lead evoSPEED players but the Newcastle Jets man picked up a pair as his side lost to Perth Glory at the weekend.
Mesut Özil (Arsenal) adidas ACE 16+ Purecontrol
Dele Alli may have taken the plaudits with his exceptional goal against Crystal Palace but Mesut Özil has been installed as the lead asset for the adidas ACE 16+ Purecontrol. Unsurprisingly the Purecontrol was the talk of the week with a strong on-pitch presence but Özil's debut game in the laceless boot wasn't quite as memorable as Alli's as Arsenal lost at home to Premier League strugglers Chelsea.
Luis Suarez (Barcelona) adidas X 15.1
The "Solar Gold/Shock Pink" X 15.1 won't officially be released until later this week but once adidas dished them out to Luis Suarez that embargo was also going to be broken. The Barcelona forward prematurely matched his new footwear with his club's away strip to create a tidy boot/kit combo as Barca moved further clear at the top of La Liga.
Dimas Delgado (Western Sydney Wanderers) Joma Champion Cup
You don't get as many Joma sightings as you once did but Western Sydney Wanderers was representing the Spanish brand in the latest colourway of the Champion Cup silo this week. It's refreshing to see a professional take on an alternative brand and the loud but stylish combination of yellow, orange and black creates an all-round decent design.
Christen Press (USA) Nike Hypervenom II
The first of a trio of USWNT players in new Nike footwear this week is Christen Press sporting the 2016 Women's Nike Hypervenom Phantom II colourway. Nike announced plans to continue their women's specific pack in October last year, on the back of the successful Women's World Cup collection and the new "Energy/Racer Blue/Voltage Green" Hypervenom is solid proof of why that was a good idea.
Crystal Dunn (USA) Nike Magista Obra
Crystal Dunn was wearing the "Black/Bright Crimson" Nike Magista Obra of the Women's Pack as the USA beat Ireland 5-0 in San Diego. A lower key design than that of Press' Hypervenom but a colourway that would no doubt turn heads in the men's game too.
Carli Lloyd (USA) Nike Mercurial Superfly IV
Nike celebrated the legacy of the 2015 Women's World Player of the Year, Carli Lloyd, with a special edition “Leave Your Legacy” Mercurial Superfly IV boot this month and Lloyd got a chance to sport them for the first time against Ireland. Scoring three goals in 16 minutes at the World Cup Final in Canada played a large part in being awarded the boots, and what did she do in her first game wearing them? She scored three goals in 28 minutes.
James Rodriguez (Real Madrid) adidas ACE 16+ Primeknit
Sitting along side the laceless Purecontrol is the ACE 16+ Primeknit, worn by James Rodriguez as Real Madrid drew 1-1 with Real Betis on Sunday evening. Featuring laces but the same Primeknit ankle fit, the ACE 16+ Primeknit will be joined by a standard ACE 16.1 and a leather edition to complete the full next-generation of ACE offerings.
Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea) Puma evoPOWER 1.3
Cesc Fabregas returned to his old stomping ground in the launch colourway of the new PUMA evoPOWER 1.3 on Sunday. The "Yellow/Atomic Blue" design matches that of the evoSPEED as PUMA aim to create a dominant look on pitch with their two key silos. Powerful aesthetics, powerful technologies.
Javi Martinez (Bayern Munich) adidas ACE 16.1 Leather
After a first look at the launch colourway of the adidas ACE 16.1 Javi Martinez has wasted no time in offering a glimpse into stage two. The Bayern Munich midfielder has been training in an unreleased colourway of the leather editions as adidas find that balance of eccentric and safe to launch their next-gen boot.
Paul Pogba (Juventus) adidas ACE 16+ Purecontrol
This weekend marked the clearest sign yet that the most eligible boot bachelor around, Paul Pogba, may have joined adidas. The Juve midfielder has been wearing a blacked-out edition of the laceless ACE 16+ Purecontrol boot for some weeks now but moved into the launch colourway on schedule, indicating an official deal isn't too far away from being announced.
