It's all to play for as the fixtures come thick and fast in March. Finals are calling, promotion is close and relegation is looming. As the nerves rise with the pressure we take a look back at the past seven days of football to see who was wearing what. It's Monday, let's go...
Samir Nasri (Sevilla) adidas X 16.1
Samir Nasri has been wearing a blacked out edition of the adidas X 16.1 since his contract expired with New Balance. Nasri has opted for a custom blackout treatment to hide any adidas branding as the Sevilla midfielder, who was one of New Balance's leading players for the Visaro silo, goes in search for alternative avenues. Not that his sending off and elimination from the Champions League at the hands of Leicester will help his cause.
Talisca (Besiktas) Nike Mercurial Vapor XI
Besiktas' Portuguese midfielder Talisca gave an early on-pitch debut to an upcoming Nike Mercurial Vapor XI colourway in the week as his side beat Olympiacos 4-1 to reach the Quarter Finals of the Europa League. The simple red and black combination is nailed on to be a winner as players head towards their season finales.
Granit Xhaka (Arsenal) Under Armour Clutchfit 3.0
Arsenal's woes continued on Saturday as the Gunners lost ground in the hunt for a Champions League spot next season. West Brom were the latest club to put increasing pressure on Arsene Wenger as the Baggies sent Arsenal home with a 3-1 defeat from the Hawthornes. Grant Xhaka providing the latest boot spot courtesy of his all red Under Armour Clutchfit 3.0 boots.
Zinedine Zidane (Real Madrid) adidas ACE 17.1
Zizou is still pulling the strings when it comes to releasing new adidas football boots. The French legend was the go to man when it came to revealing upcoming adidas Predator colourways back in his playing days and he's still getting in on the action as a coach by slipping into the next adidas on-pitch collection in training this week. Stay tuned for a closer look at "Green/Black/White" pack later this month.
Karim Benzema (Real Madrid) adidas X 16.1
Karim Benzema followed his gaffer into the upcoming adidas colourways as the new batch of X and ACE footwear was delivered to the Real Madrid training ground this week. It's a vibrant update for the X 16.1 silo with Spring vibes blooming onto the hi-collared silhouette. Once again, look out for these appearing more regularly over the next couple of weeks.
Gonzalo Higuain (Juventus) Nike Hypervenom 3
Gonzalo Higuain remained in the Nike 'Strike Night' Hypervenom 3 on Sunday to help Juventus edge ever closer to the Serie A title with a 1-0 victory at Sampdoria. The stealth-like design was launched to tie in with the Hypervenom event in London earlier this month before making a Champions League debut, but the Argentinean forward has taken a liking to the low-key aesthetic.
Bradley Wood (Lincoln) adidas Gloro 16.1
After having their FA Cup Wembley dreams shattered by Arsenal last weekend, Lincoln City tasted more final hurdle disappointment as they were knocked out of the FA Trophy semi-finals by National League strugglers York City at the weekend. Bradley Wood provided the pick of the boot spotting action by lacing up in the adidas Gloro 16.1, a boot he'll now be extra determined to secure Football League promotion with.
Ze Luis (Spartak Moscow) adidas Prototype
Ze Luis became the latest player to be spotted wearing the mystery adidas silo this week. Numerous contracted adidas players have been wearing blackout prototypes in training in March and now the Spartak Moscow man has taken them for a competitive run-out this weekend. The no lace theme continues but as of yet adidas are keeping their lips sealed on any other technology details. Stay tuned.
Troy Deeney (Watford) adidas X 16.1
Troy Deeney slipped into the new "Grey Camo" collection this weekend, becoming the first Premier League player to do so. The Watford striker has plunged for the sleek adidas X 16.1 design out of personal choice with adidas keeping their leading contract players in the current "Blue Blast" collection. Smart match-up with the Hornets' away strip.
Manuel Fernandes (Lokomotiv Moscow) Nike CTR360 Maestri III
Manuel Fernandes is another player on the lookout for a new boot contract by blacking out his current pair to alert brands to his availability. Players will often use their uncontracted time to wear their favourite boots until they're offered a new deal, and the Lokomotiv Moscow has opted for one of the finest discontinued series from Nike – the CTR360 Maestri III.
