June becomes July as next season becomes this season. Pre-season begins as brands make their first moves of the upcoming 2017/18 season. We take a look around all angles of competitive and friendly football to pick out the latest, custom and most random boots on show from the past seven days.

Tom Huddlestone (Hull City) Nike Hyperenom 3

Hull City are back in pre-season truing following their relegation from the Premier League. Hull have managed to keep a decent spine of their squad from last season including Tom Huddlestone, who returned to training wearing the new Nike 'Lock In Let Loose' Hypervenom 3 boot. The collection a perfect match for the orange and black of his club.

Edson Alvarez (Mexico) Magista Obra II

Edson Alvarez put the Nike 'Lock In Let Loose' Pack through competitive action on Sunday as he laced up in the Magista Obra II for Mexico's 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup Group C match against El Salvador in San Diego. The full collection features orange and black colourways as Nike aim to start the season with a dominant on-pitch presence.

Narciso Orellana (El Salvador) adidas X 15.1

Narciso Orellana slipped into the boot that kick-started a revolution for adidas Football. The X 15.1 has gone on to leave a trail of chaos as adidas discontinued the F50, Predator, 11Pro and Nitrocharge silos in 2015 in favour of the new X and ACE generations. Launched in the "Solar Yellow" colourway the X 15.1 is one of the most significant football boots in adidas Football history.

Johnny Marajo (Martinique) Nike Air Max Superfly

The 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup provided most of the competitive football action this week. Johnny Marajo of tiny nation Martinique gave a rare run out to the Nike Air Max Icons collection by lacing up in the Mercurial Superfly V inspired by the Air Max 90 sneaker design. Marajo and Martinique got their campaign underway in style, defeating Nicaragua 2-0 in Nashville.

Adam Frizzell (Kilmarnock) Nike Air Max Magista

There was more Air Max Icons Collection on show in Scotland this weekend as Kilmarnock took on Livingston in a pre-season friendly. Adam Frizzell of Kilmarnock opted for the limited edition Magista Obra II inspired by Air Max 97 vibes as his side ran out 1-0 winners at Rugby Park.

Brandon Mason (Watford) PUMA ONE 17.1

Watford visited Woking to get their pre-season schedule underway this weekend as a young Hornets side recorded a 1-1 draw with the National League outfit. In amongst the action was Watford's Brandon Mason wearing the new PUMA ONE 17.1 silo. The boot has been released to replace the evoSPEED and evoTOUCH models and will be worn by PUMA contracted players such as Antoine Griezmann and Adam Lallana next season.

Dejan Jakovic (Canada) Nike Tiempo 6

Dejan Jakovic opted for a slice of simplistic NikeiD customisation for Canada's Gold Cup opener with French Guiana this week. Jakovic was wearing an all black Nike Tiempo Legend 6 design with red swooshes and white details to match up with his nation's home strip.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (Lazio) Nike MercurialSuperfly V

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic's customisation was a little less official as Lazio upped their pre-season training. The Serbian midfielder had returned to training wearing standard Nike Mercurial Superfly V colourways, but he's since blacked out the upper of the boot to create a unique design and one that perhaps signals the end of his Nike contract, albeit with unusual timing.

Jurgen Klinsmann (Germany) adidas adiPure III

German legend Jurgen Klinsmann was in action during an exhibition match between Mexico and Germany in Mexico City this week. The former USA manager wore the adidas adiPURE III football boots from 2009 to match up nicely with the adidas Germany kit, but avoided his trademark belly slide celebration on that artificial pitch. Sensible.
