Balde Diao Keita (Lazio) Nike Mercurial Vapor XI Neymar
Balde Diao Keita spent the majority of last season in blacked out boots, but the Lazio man signed with Nike in the summer as he switched into the 'Lock In Let Loose' colourway. More recently though, Keita has been training in the signature Neymar edition. Unusual for a high profile player to wear the signature silo of another professional.
Paulo Dybala (Juventus) adidas X 17.1
Paulo Dybala has still yet to sign for a brand ahead of the new season. His blackout boots were well documented last season as he produced a number of eye-catching performances in the Champions League, and he's undoubtably had offers from a number of brands. Last week the Juve man was wearing the PUMA One, this week it's a blacked out adidas X. Take your pick Paulo.
Gareth Bale (Real Madrid) adidas X 17.1
Gareth Bale was also sporting the adidas X 17.1 this weekend, albeit a heavily modified pair. The Real Madrid forward is still wearing a customised version of the previous generation boot wrapped up in the new "Ocean Storm" colourway.
Shinji Okazaki (Leicester City) Mizuno Rebula V1
Leicester City were back entertaining as they got the Premier League season underway at Arsenal on Friday night. Shinji Okazaki helped himself to a goal in the 4-3 defeat wearing the new Mizuno Rebula V1 silo, which has replaced the popular Wave Ignitus series.
Dwight Gayle (Newcastle United) Nike Mercurial Vapor XI
Dwight Gayle and Newcastle marked their return to the Premier League with a 2-0 defeat at home to Spurs on Sunday. Gayle fired the Magpies to promotion last season wearing the Mercurial Vapor XI but he's begun the season in a blacked out pair. Back in the big time now, could he be after an improved contract from the Swoosh?
Luka Milivojevic (Crystal Palace) adidas F50 adizero Messi
Crystal Palace had a nightmare start to their campaign, losing 3-0 at home to newly promoted Huddersfield. Luka Milivojevic was sporting the F50 adizero Messi Mirosar10 boot. The colourway was the final signature Messi F50 of 2014 and was designed in special recognition of Messi’s hometown of Rosario.
Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid) Nike Tiempo Legend 7
Sergio Ramos switched into an alternative colourway of the Tiempo 7 for the first leg of the Super Cup on Sunday. The black and white colourway isn't a million miles away from the launch colourway that all other Tiempo players are wearing, so we're unsure why Ramos has a problem with it. He is wearing an Anti-Clog edition soleplate so we can only assume the new colourway isn't yet available with that tech.
Lionel Messi (Barcelona) adidas Nemeziz 17.1 Messi
Leo Messi was on the scoresheet but Barcelona lost the first leg of the Super Cup 3-1 to Real Madrid. For Messi, the game provided a chance to switch into the latest "Ocean Storm" Nemeziz 17.1 colourway. Despite looking like the standard Nemeziz, Messi's boots are slightly different as the 'Nemeziz' branding on the upper is replaced by his name. That, and the collar is modified too. Big time.
Moussa Marega (Porto) Nike Mercurial Superfly IV
Moussa Marega has remained in the same boots from last season as he laced up in his custom gold and black NikeiD Mercurial Superfly against Tondela. A statement customisation with safari print in the Swoosh.
Antonio Rudiger (Chelsea) Nike Tiempo Legend Air Max
Antonio Rudiger made his Premier League debut on Saturday as Chelsea lost 3-2 at home to Burnley. The German defender was wearing the limited edition Nike Tiempo from the Air Max Icons collection, with this specific colourway inspired by the Air Max 1.
