It's your weekend recap of who's wearing what. From Wayne Rooney taking us back to 2008, to laceless slip-ons, custom colourways and limited editions. Kicking off Monday in standard style, here's who made the cut.
Wayne Rooney (Everton) Nike T90 Laser II
There was only one place to start this week, and that's with Wayne Rooney taking us back to 2008 by scoring from outside the box wearing the Nike T90 Laser II. The second week in a row that Rooney has opted for the throwback silo and scored, having worn a black and white pair against Brighton the week before.
Isaiah Brown (Brighton) Nike Mercurial Flyknit Ultra
Izzy Brown was the pick of the boot spotting action as he helped Brighton record their first ever Premier League away victory on Friday night at West Ham wearing the Nike Mercurial Flyknit Ultra.
Jordon Ibe (Bournemouth) Nike Mercurial Flyknit Ultra
Jordon Ibe was wearing the rarer "Triple Black" Mercurial Flyknit Ultra as Bournemouth beat Stoke City on Saturday. Just 1,000 pairs of the colourway were released with Ibe firmly grabbing himself a pair. That wasn't the only pair Ibe firmly grabbed hold of on Saturday either. Just ask Erik Pieters.
Alfie Mawson (Swansea) adidas X 17.1
Swansea defender Alfie Mawson got his modification game on at the weekend by removing the laces of his adidas X 17.1 boots. Not only did Mawson create the slip-on feel, it also looks as if the front of his boots have been modified with an alternative vamp.
Jese (Stoke City) Nike Mercurial Superfly V
Stoke's on-loan forward Jese continues to play in self-blacked-out Nike boots this season. Colouring in the Nike 'Lock in Let Loose' colourway, Jese is alerting brands to his availability in hope of an improved boot contract.
Sofiane Boufal (Southampton) Nike Mercurial Vapor XI
Sofiane Boufal is another player who has taken on the blackout treatment with his Nike boots. The Saints man did his chances of a new boot contract no harm by scoring one of the goals of the season on Saturday night, before giving it the big 'you should have started me' celebration to his manager. Never be that guy.
Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool) Nike Hypervenom
Daniel Sturridge came off the bench at Wembley wearing the first generation Nike Hypervenom on Sunday. The Liverpool striker has been wearing the third-gen design but reverted to a boot and colourway that he wore at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Memphis Depay (Lyon) Under Armour Spotlight
Memphis Depay bagged himself a hat-trick in Lyon's 5-0 win over Troyes wearing the limited edition Under Armour 'Power in Pink' Spotlight boot, launched to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Research. Top work all round.
Ollie Watkins (Brentford) Under Armour Clutchfit 3.0
Under Armour have snapped up Brentford striker Ollie Watkins who slipped into the Clutchfit 3.0 in the 3-3 draw with Sunderland on Saturday. Watkins won the EFL Young Player of the Year Award last season – an award previously won by Gareth Bale and Dele Alli. A positive sign for Under Armour and their new highly rated talent.
Charly Musonda (Chelsea) Nike Mercurial Veloce III
Chelsea's custom kid was back at it again this week. Charly Musonda has worn numerous custom Mercurial colourways and old school designs on his way to breaking into the first team and his latest work is a "Blue/Volt" Mercurial Veloce III.
Ezgjan Alioski (Leeds) Nike Mercurial Vapor XI
Leeds United's Ezgjan Alioski threw some creative flavour at his custom Nike Mercurial Vapor XI colourway this weekend as Leeds hammered Bristol City 3-0 at Ashton Gate. Alioski combined shades of yellow and red for a strong on-pitch visual.
Kyle Walker-Peters (Tottenham) adidas GLITCH 17
Kyle-Walker Peters continues to fly the Glitch flag in the UK. The Spurs full-back has over thirty different outer-skin options to choose from, but he's sticking with the bright blue drop that launched as part of the Fluido Pack.
