Fresh off the back of mauling Stoke 7-2 at the Etihad on Saturday afternoon Manchester City returned to training ahead of a Champions League clash with Napoli this week. One of City's extensive attacking options switched into a limited edition boot as Pep put the squad through their paces on Monday afternoon.

Leroy Sane has lit up the Premier League along with a wealth of goalscoring talent at Manchester City this season but he was in stealth mode in training as he laced up in the limited edition Nike Mercurial Vapor Flyknit Ultra in all black.

Just 1,000 pairs of the all black editions were released along with 1,500 pairs of the black and gold versions worn by Eden Hazard, and Sane is so far the only player to be spotted wearing the 'rarer' boot, of which all 1,000 pairs in circulation are individually numbered. Sane has been wearing the blackout design in training for a couple of weeks now, but has always reverted to the Mercurial Superfly V for matches. Perhaps this is just a way of Nike getting their players accustomed with the technology ahead of rolling it out on a more general release?
