Global Boot Spotting

Shine your shoes, put on your best suit, and pick up your briefcase. It's March, and it's officially the business end of the season. We take a look back at the past seven days of football to pick out the best of the custom, latest, and throwback football boots on show. You know how this one goes...

Anders Jacobsen (OB Odense) Nike Mercurial Vapor 360

Nike flip-reversed the launch colourway of the Nike Mercurial 360 last week to create a more low-key vibe. Nike's leading Mercurial stars have remained in the "Total Orange" drop but a few players have been tempted into the black version, including OB Odense's Anders Jacobsen in the Vapor 360.

Christopher Nkunku (PSG) Nike Mercurial Vapor XI

Christopher Nkunku was given the chance to shine for PSG on Saturday in the absence of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe and he duly seized his opportunity. Nkunku was wearing a custom NikeiD design as he scored the second goal in a 2-0 win for the Ligue 1 leaders.

Yoshifumi Kashiwa (Sanfrecce Hiroshima) Mizuno Morelia Neo II

Mizuno have gone bold for their latest on-pitch collection that debuted this week. The bright "Safety Yellow" Morelia Neo II was on the feet of Yoshifumi Kashiwa to match up nicely with the statement socks of the Sanfrecce Hiroshima kit.

Yuki Muto (Urawa Red Diamonds) Mizuno Rebula V1

The Morelia Neo II was joined by a matching version of the Rebula V1 as Mizuno wrapped their two leading silos in vibrant coats of colour. Urawa Red Diamonds man Yuki Muto switched into the new design on the silhouette that recently replaced the Wave Ignitues series.

Ryan Sanusi (Sparta Rotterdam) New Balance Furon 3.0

New Balance are also adopting statement tactics for their latest on-pitch collection for Spring 2018. Sparta Rotterdam's Ryan Sanusi was sporting the new Furon 3.0 colourway as his side came from behind to beat ADO Den Haag 2-1.

Mark Duffy (Sheffield United) adidas Predator Accelerator DB

When the adidas Predator Accelerator DB dropped in October it caused a huge scramble from collectors to snag a pair. A modern day version of the famed Predator Accelerator in all white. The David Beckham signature release hasn't featured on pitch, until Sheffield United playmaker Mark Duffy laced up in pair against Reading on Tuesday night and duly smashed in a 25 yard screamer in a 3-1 win.

Diego Oliveira (FC Tokyo) Nike Mercurial Vapor XI

Diego Oliveira didn't spend an awful lot of time on NikeiD when designing his custom Mercurial Vapor XI colourway. The FC Tokyo striker just slapped them up in all blue before the 2% left on his laptop battery died. Done.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) Under Armour Magnetico Pro

Under Armour moved their contracted players into their latest colourway of the Magnetico Pro silo this weekend. Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold was joined by Arsenal Granit Xhaka in the black and white design.

Jamie Vardy (Leicester City) Nike Mercurial Superfly CR7

Jamie Vardy has continued to wear the CR7 signature Chapter 5 Mercurial in the Premier League. The Leicester striker has been wearing the Anti-Clog version of the boot for the past few games. Vardy presumably prefers white boots and this is the only predominantly white option Nike currently have on the market. Either that or he's a big fan of Cristiano Ronaldo. But, we get the impression Jamie Vardy isn't a big fan of anyone.

Ellis Harrison (Bristol Rovers) Nike Hypervenom

Bristol Rovers striker Ellis Harrison scored the only goal of the game as his side beat MK Dons on Saturday. Harrison was wearing the first generation Hypervenom in the "Shine Through" Pack colourway – a design that launched in December 2014.

Steve Brown (Milton Keynes Dons) adidas Predator adiPower

A throwback Predator is always a welcomed sight on any football pitch, even if it is on the feet of one of the coaching staff. Milton Keynes Dons Head of Academy Coaching Steve Brown was sporting the black and orange adiPower on Saturday – a colourway that dropped in October 2011.
