Global Boot Spotting

As the fixtures come thick and fast we've taken a look back at the past seven days of football to pick out the boots that caught our eyes. From Manchester to Mexico, here's our selection of the best custom, latest, and throwback boots on show. You know how it goes...

Eric Bailly (Manchester United) Nike Tiempo 7

Eric Bailly made his return from injury in Manchester United's 2-1 win over Liverpool on Saturday lunchtime. The United defender was impressive despite converting into his own net wearing the 'Fire' edition of the Tiempo 7. Bailly appears to have reached the end of his current Nike contract as he blacked out the Swooshes on his boots.

Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur) Nike Magista Obra

Spurs full back Danny Rose has also recently returned from injury wearing an older boot model. For Tottenham's 4-1 win over Bournemouth on Sunday Rose opted for the first generation Nike Magista Obra in the 'Radiant Reveal' Pack colourway from March 2016.

Keisuke Honda (Pachuca) Mizuno Rebula V1

Keisuke Honda remains as one of Mizuno's leading players despite his move away from Europe to the Mexican league. Honda will lead Japan into the World Cup this summer wearing the Rebula V1 series – a boot that he wore at the weekend in the latest "Safety Yellow" colourway.

Josh Scowen (QPR) Nike Mercurial Vapor 360

Queens Park Rangers heaped more misery on Sunderland at the weekend with a 1-0 win at Loftus Road. The weekend's fixtures saw a number of Nike players switch into the secondary "Black/Total Orange" colourway of the new Mercurial series. Including Josh Scowen in the Vapor 360 edition.

Coke (Levante) Lotto LZG 700 IX

Levante's Coke is one of few players on the professional scene contracted to Italian brand Lotto. The Spanish defender was laced up in the latest white & blue LZG 700 IX colourway as his side beat Getafe 1-0 on Saturday.

Franco Escobar (Atlanta United) Nike Mercurial Superfly V

Atalanta United bounced back from their opening day MLS defeat to beat D.C. United 3-1 in front of 72,000 fans in their first home game of the new season. Franco Escobar provided the pick of the boot spotting in his simple white and black custom Mercurial Superfly V design.

Will Hughes (Watford) Under Armour Magnetico Pro

Watford midfielder Will Hughes is the latest Premier League player to sign for Under Armour. Hughes came off the bench against Arsenal wearing the new Magnetico Pro silo to join the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jacob Murphy, and Granit Xhaka in Under Armour as the brand increase their Premier League presence.

Kasper Enghardt (Randers FC) adidas X 15.1

Kasper Enghardt took things back to 2015 this weekend by wearing the adidas X 15.1 launch colourway. It's the boot that launched the adidas revolution by replacing the F50 series with a strong set of debut visuals. Three generations later and it's established.

Chris Lines (Bristol Rovers) adidas Predator LZ SL

Chris Lines took things back even further, to 2014, by wearing the adidas Predator LZ SL at the weekend. The Bristol Rovers man was sporting the "White/Multi" colourway of a boot that streamlined the standard Predator LZ to reduce the weight with a SprintFrame soleplate and thinner upper.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) Nike Mercurial Superfly 360 x Kim Jones

CR7 was the man tasked with wearing the first collab creation of the new Mercurial Superfly 360. The Swoosh teamed up with renown fashion designer Kim Jones for a special edition twist which dropped in limited numbers. Ronaldo naturally gave them a scoring debut in Real Madrid's 2-1 win over PSG.

Rogelio Funes Mori (Monterrey) PUMA Future 18.1 NetFit

Rogelio Funes Mori has switched into a blacked out edition of the PUMA Future 18.1 NetFit boot. The Monterrey man was wearing Nike but the club's main sponsor look to be in talks to capturing the twin brother of Everton defender, Ramiro.

Grady Diangana (West Ham) Nike Mercurial Vapor XI

West Ham youngster Grady Diangana has created his own pair of custom Nike Mercurial Vapor XI boots. Sporting a simplistic "Blue/White" combo, Diangana was in action as West Ham U23s lost 1-0 to Chelsea.
