It's here. It's World Cup week ladies and gentlemen. A month full of heroic underdogs, bitter disappointment, and Germany winning on penalties. Before all that though we've taken a look at the pick of the boots from the past seven days. Russian dancing shoes, customisations and throwbacks. All the usual stuff...

Sergio Aguero (Argentina) PUMA ONE 1

Sergio Aguero has switched into the next-generation PUMA ONE series as Argentina continue their preparations ahead of the 2018 World Cup. Aguero will join the likes of Nacho Monreal and Olivier Giroud in the "Illuminate Pack" colourway in Russia this week.

Usain Bolt (Rest Of The World) PUMA Future 2.1

Another leading PUMA athlete switched into the "Illuminate Pack" at the weekend as Usain Bolt wore the new-generation Future 2.1 in the annual Soccer Aid game at Old Trafford.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) Nike Mercurial Superfly 360

Nike's main man switched into the "Just Do It" pack this week. Cristiano Ronaldo will likely headline Nike's stable of players at one last World Cup this summer and we wouldn't bet against him receiving a signature design should Portugal progress through the knockout stages.

Weston McKennie (USA) adidas Glitch 18

The adidas Glitch 18 silo looks set for a prominent roll at the 2018 World Cup. Weston McKennie and USA will be sitting out the tournament, but numerous high profile players have been wearing the Glitch this month including Benjamin Mendy, Presnel Kimpembe, and Paulo Dybala who has also worn the same Russian inspired skin as McKennie, here.

Kendall Waston (Costa Rica) New Balance Furon 4.0

New Balance are looking strong heading into the World Cup. The "Otruska Pack" is as clean as they come and the brand have also strengthened their squad with the addition of Sadio Mane. The World Cup is the ultimate shop window, and you need to be seen. Costa Rica's Kendall Waston has also boosted the NB presence this summer.

Andrea Rota (Padania) adidas Predator Mania Revenge Pack

There's always time for a throwback adidas Predator. Yeah, this might be the 2002 remake of the Mania, but still, always good to see them on pitch. The player in question? Andrea Rota of Padania during the Conifa Paddy Power World Football Cup 2018 Bronze Medal Match Third Place Play-Off between Padania v Szekely Land at Enfield Town FC. Mark Clattenberg was ref. Now you know.

Timo Werner (Germany) adidas X 18+

The new-generation adidas X 18+ is the pick of the World Cup "Energy Mode" pack for us. This is what an adidas speed boot should look like. The smart flag customisation adidas are offering their players this summer is the icing on a delicious cake.

Paddy McGuinness (England) Nike Mercurial Superfly 360

Paddy McGuinness back the most Irish sounding name to represent England this week as he played his part in the Soccer Aid game. The comedian took to the Old Trafford pitch in a pair of Nike Mercurial Superfly 360 boots with a customised UNICEF logo design.

Eric Cantona (Rest Of The World) PUMA King Top di

The king was back at his old stomping ground on Sunday night as he lined-up against an England team made up of "celebrities" and ex-footballers. Cantona dusted off his iconic PUMA King boots to mark the occasion.

David Villa (NYCFC) adidas X 18.1

2010 World Cup winner David Villa switched into the new 2018 World Cup adidas boots this week. Dave wore the F50 to lift the trophy in South Africa, and now he's in an X 18.1 silhouette that shares some of that adizero DNA.
