Nike's France Players Supplied With "White/Gold" Boots

Nike have dished out a premium collection of "White/Gold" boots to all of their contracted French internationals ahead of France's first game as World Champions against Germany in Munich on Thursday night.

The likes of Kylian Mbappe, Samuel Umtiti and Lucas Hernandez all switched into the bespoke designs as France trained at Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena ahead of their UEFA Nations League fixture against 2014 World Champions Germany. Every Nike player in the squad is expected to follow suit come kick off on Thursday night.

The ultra-clean designs consist of white uppers with golden soleplates and black Swooshes as Nike pay tribute to their players that earned legendary status in Russia in the summer. Each pair of Mercurials, PhantomVSNs, Hypervenoms and Tiempos feature the French tricolour flag on the personalised triangular placement on heel of the boots, along with two stars, which obviously don't need explaining.

The "White/Gold" colourways won't hit the shelves and will only be worn by the French players for their two upcoming international fixtures. The first against Germany, followed by their much anticipated homecoming against the Netherlands at the Stade de France on Sunday 9 September. By then we might have even figured out what the UEFA Nations League actually is.
