Liu Yang (China) Nike Mercurial Vapor GS360

There was limited edition game on show at the Asia Cup this week as China's Liu Yang laced up in the Nike Mercurial Vapor GS360. Just 2018 pairs of the boots were released with Kylian Mbappe being the only Nike athlete to wear the design on pitch. That clash of black and volt is as strong as it gets.

Ivan Rakitic (Barcelona) adidas Predator Mania Champagne

Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has managed to get his hands on the limited edition adidas Predator Mania Champagne re-release. Rakitic is one of the leading players for the Predator 19+ so he remains in that when it comes to match days, but for training he couldn't resist taking this iconic boot out for a ride.

Sadio Mane (Liverpool) New Balance Furon 5.0

Paul Pogba (Manchester United) adidas Predator 19+

Another Premier League player on the scoresheet in new boots at the weekend was Paul Pogba. The United midfielder switched into the new "Exhibit Pack" colourway of the Predator 19+ to tuck away a penalty in a 2-1 win over Brighton. The Pred looks smart off foot, but that burst of red coming through the upper when stretched by the foot adds that bit extra to the design.

Eden Hazard (Chelsea) Nike Tiempo Legend 7

Eden Hazard sprung a surprise in training last week as he ditched his normal Mercurial Vapor boots for the Tiempo Legend 7 series. The change-up could be a case of Hazard opting for something a bit more comfortable in training, but whatever the reason Nike will want to keep him in the Mercurial for the long run.

Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich) Nike PhantomVNM

Jason Puncheon (Huddersfield) adidas Predator Accelerator

As long as adidas keep re-issuing old Predator designs they'll always find a way onto the top level of football; they're simply too iconic to resist. Jason Puncheon slipped into the OG colourway of the Accelerator re-release as his side went down 3-0 at home to Manchester City on Sunday.

Steven Skrzybski (Schalke) adidas Glitch 19

The adidas "Archetic Pack" adopted a new member of the family last week as the Three Stripes dropped a Glitch 19 design in all black with reflective elements. Schalke's Steven Skrzybski switched into the disruptive two-piece silo as his side took on Wolfsburg.

Makino Tomoaki (Japan) adidas X 18.1

There's always one isn't there? And it's usually Makino Tomoaki. the Japanese international has a habit of wearing odd X boots and he's continued that trend into the Asia Cup but mixing up his X 18.1 colourways on either foot. Ballsy, but pricey.
