Global Boot Spotting

The return of domestic football across Europe has thrown up a belting selection of new releases, customs and throwbacks for this weeks Global Boot Spotting. Where better to start than that rollercoaster clash from Anfield?

Mo Salah (Liverpool) adidas X 18.1

Despite not actually scoring it, Mo Salah had a massive part in Liverpool's winner over Spurs yesterday and he did so in the latest look for the X 18.1, which comes from the unreleased adidas Virtuso Pack.

Roberto Firmino (Liverpool) adidas Nemeziz 18.1

Liverpool's other goal scorer against Spurs yesterday, Bobby Firmino, was also seen in the next look for the Nemeziz 18.1, which is due for release this week as part of the adidas Virtuso Pack.

Kylian Mbappe (Paris Saint-Germain) Nike Mercurial Superfly 360 LVL UP

Mbappe scored the only goal in PSG's win over Toulouse, and he did so in the first special edition Mercurial of 2019, known as 'LVL UP'. Featuring different elements found on some of the most iconic Mercurial boots made in the past decade, the core white look of the boot tied in nicely with PSG's away kit.

Ross Barkley (Chelsea) Nike T90 Laser

Ross Barkley has been enjoying a continued run in the Chelsea team recently, finding some of the form that earned him his move from Everton in the first place. And with form comes confidence – confidence to take to the training field in the recent T90 relaunch. Shame he didn't wear them on-pitch in Chelsea's win against Cardiff though.

Vincent Kompany (Manchester City) PUMA Future 19.1

The PUMA 'Hacked Pack' was only released today, but that didn't stop City captain Vincent Kompany wearing a pair of the Future 19.1s from the pack last week in training as he continued his return from injury.

Oleksandr Zinchenko (Manchester City) PUMA Future 18.1

Sticking with City, and yet another player from their ranks that could potentially be eyeing a move to PUMA, with Ukrainian Aleksandr Zinchenko spotted training in the eye-catching Future 18.1 'Texture' release from March last year. Zinchenko usually wears Nike – could he soon be on the move?

Romeu Lukaku (Manchester United) PUMA evoSPEED 1.5

From one side of Manchester to the other and another big PUMA player checking out the Big Cat's back catalogue, with striker Romelu Lukaku warming up for United's match against Watford in a pair of PUMA evoSPEED 1.5 from 2016.

Keita Balde (Inter Milan) Nike Mercurial Vapor Flyknit Ultra

Ahead of Inter's clash with Lazio, on-loan attacker Keita Balde took to training in 2017's stunning Mercurial Vapor Flyknit Ultra. He reverted back to his 'Always Forward' Mercurials for the game, which Inter lost 1-0.

Jack Grealish (Aston Villa) Nike Mercurial Superfly

Jack Grealish stood out at Aston Villa's training this week as he decided to wear the Nike Mercurial Superfly 'Heritage Pack' 2006 World Cup edition. Predominantly yellow with a green heel, the boots were sadly not a permanent fixture on Grealish's feet, as he was back in his Hypervenoms for Villa's 2-1 win over Blackburn.

Arek Milik (Napoli) Nike Phantom VNM

Arek Milik opened the scoring after two minutes as Napoli comfortably defeated Roma 1-4, and he did so in a self-blacked out pair of Nike Phantom VNM. The move suggests that Milik's association with the Swoosh could be coming to an end and the Polish striker could be lining up a move to another brand.

Adam Ounas (Napoli) Nike Mercurial GS

Staying with Napoli, and although he didn't score, Adam Ounas managed to catch the eye as he came off the bench in a custom pair of Nike iD Mercurial GS. Combining nicely with Napoli's kit, Ounas opted for a blue rear foot and a white, speckled forefoot.
