Global Boot Spotting

The 2018/19 season finally wraps up as Liverpool lift the Champions League for a sixth time. Just as the domestic season curtain drops, the summer tournament one lifts. Still plenty going on, and here's who caught our eye this week wearing limited edition, custom and latest boots.

Alan Browne (Republic of Ireland) Nike Mercurial Vapor XII

Republic of Ireland met up in Portugal ahead of their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers. Alan Browne was the pick of the boot spotting action as he laced up in the limited edition Nike Mercurial Vapor XII 'Touch of Gold' boots – launched to celebrate Luka Modric's Ballon d'Or win.

Bahaa Mamdouh (Qatar U20) Nike Mercurial Superfly VI

Bahaa Mamdouh was sporting the Cristiano Ronaldo Mercurial series at the FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland this weekend. This specific colourway was seventh and final drop of the 'Chapter Collection' and launched back in September 2018.

Leo Messi (Argentina) adidas Nemeziz Messi 19.1

Lionel Messi has finally switched into his latest signature Nemeziz 19.1 colourway. Meeting up with his teammates ahead of the Copa America, Messi trained in the design and will wear the boots, which feature his exclusive logo, when Argentina get their campaign underway later this month.

Canice Carroll (Republic of Ireland U21) adidas Predator adiPower

Republic of Ireland took on their U21 side in a friendly this week as Canice Carroll took things back to 2011 by wearing the adidas Predator adiPower edition. The "White/Pink/Black" colourway was actually launched as a women's specific drop and was worn at the 2011 Women's World Cup.

Luis Gonzalez (Deportes Tolima) Nike Mercurial Vapor XII

The 'Euphoria Gold Mode' pack was launched in limited numbers last month and dished out to Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane for the FA Cup Final. Until this week the City duo were the only players we've spotted wearing the designs, but now Luis Gonzalez bagged a pair of the Mercurials to wear in the Copa Sudamericana.

Sherida Spitse (Netherlands) PUMA ONE 5.1

The Netherlands warmed up for their 2019 Women's World Cup opener with a 3-0 win over Australia at PSV's Philips Stadion to ensure they arrive in Franc win good form. Sherida Spitse was one of numerous players who will be wearing the new generation PUMA ONE 5.1 throughout the tournament.

Mathias Zanka Jorgensen (Denmark) Nike PhantomVSN

Denmark are also preparing for their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers and that provided Mathias Zanka Jorgensen with the chance to switch into his custom Nike PhantomVSN boots. The Huddersfield man has created a smart "White/Red" colourway to match up with his nation's home kit.

Miguel Ibarra (Minnesota United) adidas Glitch18

Miguel Ibarra mixed up his Glitch options at the weekend as he switched into the statement pink drop in the "Hacked Pack" from October 2017. The Minnesota United man is regularly seen changing his outer-skins to keep his on-pitch aesthetic fresh, which is exactly what the Glitch is all about.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) Under Armour Magnetico Pro

Teenage Liverpool fan winning the Champions League for his boyhood club. Not a bad weekend for Trent Alexander-Arnold. To mark the occasion Under Armour supplied the England right-back with a bespoke Magnetico Pro in the colours of the Liverpool home kit, and with 'YNWA' on the heels.

Kevin Mosquera (Panama U20) adidas Nitrocharge 2.0

Kevin Mosquera offered us a glimpse of the recent past in Panama U20s 2-1 win over Saudi Arabia U20s this week as he laced up in the discontinued adidas Nitrocharge series. The second generation colourway was a smart match up with Panama's away kit.
