Global Boot Spotting

It's Bank Holiday Monday and we've managed to drag our hungover ass out of bed to search through blurry eyes for the best boots on show over the past week. And for that we give ourselves a round of applause. Bacon sandwich, still Lucozade, back to bed, cheers.

Tom Bradshaw (Millwall) Nike Mercurial Vapor XII

Tom Bradshaw has whipped up a custom pair of Mercurial Vapor XII boots which he's been wearing this season. The "White/Black/Volt" design is placed onto the previous generation of Vapor for a smart but low key look for the Millwall striker.

Milan Skriniar (Inter Milan) PUMA Future

The future of the PUMA Future is beginning to emerge as the brand have dished out blackout prototypes to some of their leading players. Inter Milan's Milan Skriniar provided a glimpse at the new design in training this week. Another streamlined silhouette looks to be in store before the year ends.

Granit Xhaka (Arsenal) Under Armour

Whereas some brands are keen to keep their designs under wraps before an official release Under Armour are doing it with the lights very much on as Granit Xhaka has continued to wear a bright orange version of their new generation mid-collared boot. Launch imminent.

Emilio Zelaya (Apollon Limassol) Nike Mercurial Superfly 7

The "Total Orange" version of the Nike Mercurial Superfly 7 slipped somewhat under the radar upon launch. Nike released three debut colourways over the same weekend, and the blackout flew off the shelves, while the blue 'New Light' drop dominated on pitch. Emilio Zelaya's pair here were a limited edition run.

Mesut Ozil (Arsenal) adidas Predator Precision DB

Another player to wear a celebratory adidas Predator this week was Mesut Ozil. The Arsenal midfielder has already worn the gold Zidane Accelerator in training, and has now moved onto the white Predator Precision which was launched as a tribute to David Beckham's colourway he wore to score that free-kick against Greece in, in 2001.

Tom Huddlestone (Derby) adidas Nitrocharge 1.0

The Nitrocharge is one of adidas' modern throwbacks. The silo had a short lived life but was adopted by a number of high profile players on the professional scene. Derby's Tom Huddlestone brought them back at the weekend in the strong launch colourway, too.

Daniele De Rossi (Boca Juniors) adidas Predator 19.1

Daniele De Rossi has gone to extreme measures to relieve blister pain on his heel by literally cutting out a big hole on the left heel of his adidas Predator 19.1 boots. Not a great tactic to imply if you're forking out the best part of £200 for a pair, but an easy option when you're one of adidas' main men.

Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting (PSG) PUMA evoSPEED 17 SL

Cristian Zapata (Genoa) Lotto Stadio 100 II

Lotto have had one hell of a start to the 2019/20 season by releasing three stunning new additions to their boot line-up. While the laceless Solista made the most noise, the mid-collared Stadio 100 II has had the bigger on pitch presence – Genoa's Cristian Zapata wearing the black/green colourway at the weekend.

Mauro Icardi (Inter Milan) Nike Premier 2.0

Mauro Icardi appears to have a training silo and a match day silo. When it comes to gamedays the Inter frontman wears the sharper PhantomVNM boot, but for training Icardi prefers the more comfortable Nike Premier 2.0 with its leather feel and extra bit of plush padding.
