Plenty of throwback classics, custom creations, new releases and special editions on show this week as we pick the bones of an unwelcome international break. It’s Monday, it’s Boot Spotting, let’s go…

James McClean (Republic of Ireland) Nike Dream Speed Mercurial Superfly VII

James McClean is a fan of the Mercurial line, never wasting time before switching into the latest colourways. And despite training in the Dream Speed Vapor this week, he chose to play in the Dream Speed Superfly in Ireland's 0-0 draw with Georgia.

Harry Maguire (England) PUMA One 5.1

He's been seen trying out the COPA 19.1 and playing in a blacked out Tiempo Legend 7 recently, but this week Harry Maguire attended England training in the PUMA ONE 5.1 'Rush Pack'.

Alvaro Morata (Atletico Madrid) adidas Predator 20.1

While the international break was in full swing this week, those adidas contracted players not called up in the Atleti squad got the opportunity to test out the new prototype Predator 20. It's been seen on the feet of several pros over the last few weeks, and former Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata joined their ranks, opting for the standard mid-collar option.

Nikita Suleimanov (Russia U19) adidas Predator 19+

This week has seen a weird coincidence, with two players opting to wear mis-matching boots. First up was Nikita Suleimanov who opted to wear the 'Hardwired' Predator on his left foot, and the 'Virtuso' Predator on his right.

Marcus Maddison (Peterborough United) Nike Mercurial Superfly VII

Next up to sport the odd-boot look was Posh's Marcus Maddison in their 2-0 win against Lincoln City. The attacking midfielder chose to wear the 'Nuovo White' Mercurial Superfly on his left and the 'New Lights' version on his right.

Alan Judge (Republic of Ireland) adidas Nitrocharge 1.0

Ipswich midfielder Alan Judge joined up with the Republic of Ireland squad this week and trained in 2013's "Solar Slime" adidas Nitrocharge 1.0. The boot wasn't around for long as adidas discontinued when the switched to the ACE and X concepts.

Lee Novak (Scunthorpe United) Nike CTR360 Maestri II

Lee Novak scored an early quick-fire brace against Northampton this week as Scunthorpe came out on top 3-0, and he did so in the "White/Black/Yellow" colourway of the Nike CTR360 Maestri II from 2011.

Alexander Baumjohann (Sydney FC) adidas 11Pro III

Sydney FC snatched a late 3-2 win against Adelaide United, but aside from the action, midfielder Alexander Baumjohann caught our eye in the "White/Black/Flash Orange" adidas 11Pro III, originally released in November 2014.

Hakan Calhanoglu (Turkey) adidas F50 Adizero Yamamoto

Limited edition done in all the right ways, Turkey's Hakan Calhanoglu showed off the unique design of the adidas F50 Adizero Yamamoto in his side's narrow win against Albania. Only 2000 pairs of these boots were available globally, and they featured a special design that was inspired by the pair of imperial lion-dogs that stood guard over the gods and emperors of Japan from ancient times.

Amela Kršo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) adidas Predator Instinct

Bosnia and Herzegovina defender Amela Krio took to the pitch against Italy in the women-specific "Bold Red/White/Flash Red" Predator Instinct colourway from 2015. Unfortunately that was the highlight for her as her side crashed to a 2-0 defeat and she received her marching orders after two yellow cards.

Francesco Totti (Italy Legends) Nike Premier

Legend games are always great places for some throwback class, and the Italy vs Germany game was no different, with the highlight being the boot choice of Francesco Totti. The Roma legend pulled on a specially customised pair of Nike Premiers, which featured a T90 soleplate and an enlarged tongue. Totti still had the touch, scoring in the 3-3 draw.
