PUMA look set to launch their first assault on the new decade by dropping their next Future 5.1 colourway in the coming days. Leading PUMA man Marco Reus stepped out in training wearing a design that's clearly built to complement the Borussia Dortmund home kit, also made by PUMA, of course.

The design will arrive as the first update since the new-generation Future 5.1 launched in November in a "Luminous Blue" wrap, and uses the same design to mix up a refreshed aesthetic. The NetFit technology is drenched in Dortmund-coloured yellow while a black base allows that brighter palette to pop on pitch. PUMA clearly looking to land one of the smartest boot/kit combos of the season so far. Worth noting that Reus has removed the laces from his boots, and the standard release isn't technically a laceless boot.

The currently unreleased colourway is set to drop in the coming days as PUMA get down to business in what will be another colossal year of club and international football. The Future 5.1 is arguably the strongest of the series to date and the brand will no doubt have big plans for the busy summer schedule. For now though, keep your eyes out for a full drop which may also be part of a wider PUMA collection.
