Global Boot Spotting

Definitely something on the cards from adidas, with new colourways popping up on the feet of the pros, alongside what appears to be the all-new Predator. All of that along with some throwback classics and some special editions. It’s Monday, It’s Boot Spotting. Let’s go…

Anthony Caceres (Sydney FC) adidas Predator Accelerator

May be on the other side of the globe, but that hasn't stopped Sydney FC's Anthony Caceres getting his hands on a pair of the sublime 'Eternal Class' adidas Predator Accelerator. He didn't quite beat Weston McKennie to debuting them, but he wasn't far off, showing them off in the Sydney derby, which ended 1-1.

Dele Alli (Tottenham Hotspur) Next Gen adidas Predator

We've already seen them on the feet of Paul Pogba last week, but now more and more pros have been spotted in what will be the launch colourway of the next generation adidas Predator, including Dele Alli. With so many sightings of the aggressive, almost animalistic new look, it must be set to drop imminently.

Thomas Partey (Arsenal) adidas Nemeziz+

Also already spotted on the likes of Roberto Firmino is the new colourway for the Nemeziz, which Thomas Partey wore in Arsenal's 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace. The new paint job certainly looks as though it has been produced to support the launch of the new Predator, which makes sense.

Callum Hudson-Odoi (Chelsea) adidas X Ghosted.1

Another new addition to the adidas ranks, the X Ghosted adopts a look that's not too dissimilar to the 'Precision to Blur' look that went before it. Hudson-Odoi wore them in Chelsea's 1-0 win over Fulham this weekend.

Nicolas Nkoulou (Torino) Next Gen adidas COPA

And so we come to the COPA. Other than a few spots of the black out prototype being given a run out by the pros, not much has been seen of the next gen COPA. Interestingly, it got a debut on the feet of Nicolas Nkoulou in Torino's 2-0 loss to AC Milan this weekend, and the black out upper was joined by a gold soleplate and heel cup. Could this be the launch look, and if so, will it debut with the rest of the pack? Time will tell...

Amad Diallo (Manchester United) Nike Mercurial Vapor XIII

Man United's new signing, Amad Diallo, looked to make an impression at his first training session this week, rocking up in a pair of Nike Mercurial Vapor XIII 'South Korea' edition. Bold look, and United fans will hope he can back them up.

Joe Willock (Arsenal) PUMA Future Z 1.1

Looks like Joe Willock could be on the move from Nike, after the young Gunner was spotted training in a blacked out version of the new PUMA Future Z 1.1. Could be that his contract is soon to be up with the Swoosh, or it could simply be that he was giving them a test run. Guess we'll find out more tonight when Arsenal take on Newcastle.

Thiago (Liverpool) adidas F50 Adizero II

Thiago continues to train in a selection of adidas boots, while still playing in older, or blacked out, Nike boots. Suggestion is that he just running down his contract with Nike before officially announcing his switch to adidas. This week it was the launch colourway of the adidas F50 Adizero II from 2011 that got a run out. If his move to the Three Stripes does come to fruition, it'll be interesting to see what silo he settles in.

Ryan Wintle (Crewe Alexandra) adidas Predator Absolute 20

Nice spot in the League One clash between Plymouth Argyle and Crewe Alexandra came courtesy of Ryan Wintle, who donned the Adidas Predator Absolute 20 from the first drop of the 'Eternal Class' pack. Game ended 1-1 incase you were interested.

Hector Bellerin (Arsenal) Nike Premier II

Hector Bellerin continues to enjoy the freedom of having no boot contract, working his way through Nike's Premier II repertoire. This week saw the full back in the aptly coloured red pair that dropped last January, with the colourway tying in nicely with his kit. Shame the Swoosh is black and not white...

Todd Cantwell (Norwich City) PUMA Ultra

Interesting choice from Todd Cantrell, who laced up in two different versions of the PUMA Ultra for Norwich's 2-1 over Cardiff City this weekend. It was either a style choice or he could only find the 'Chasing Adrenaline' right boot and the 'Speed of light left'. Our money's on the latter. Something worked though, with the midfielder netting the winner.
