Some big new releases make their way to the pitch on the feet of the game’s elite this week, and they’re joined by the usual custom creations and throwback classics. It’s Monday, it’s Boot Spotting. Let’s go…
Sam Kerr (Chelsea) Nike Mercurial Superfly 8 DS004
Nike dropped the latest instalment of the Dream Speed series this week, and Nike's premium Mercurial roster duly made the switch into them. While we could've gone for Cristiano Ronaldo, who bagged a first-half hat trick in them, we opted for Sam Kerr, who also bagged a hat trick, but it was one that went towards Chelsea Women lifting the League Cup, with a 6-0 win over Bristol City.
Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund) Nike Mercurial Vapor 14 DS004
For the Vapor edition of the Nike Dream Speed 004, Erling Haaland's Champions League heroics caught the eye, as the Norwegian machine bagged a brace against Sevilla in them, seeing his side safely progress to the next round of the competition.
Joao Felix (Atletico Madrid) adidas COPA Sense+
Adidas Launched the COPA Sense+ 'Inner Life' today, with a design that's been created from the inside out, visually bringing to life the boot’s key innovations. Paulo Dybala is set to wear them in the coming weeks, but it was Atletico's Joao Felix that got to show them off ahead of launch in training this week.
Sadio Mane (Liverpool) New Balance Furon v6+
New Balance launched the retooled Furon v6+ 'Lead The Hunt' this week, and despite usually taking a while to switch to the latest release, Sadio Mané actually debuted the new boot ahead of time, scoring in them in Liverpool's Champions League win against RB Leipzig.
Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich) PUMA Future Z 1.1
Robert Lewandowski has been heavily tipped to make the move to PUMA in recent months, with the striker having been seen training in a blacked out Future. This week he finally played a match in the 'Game on' colourway of the boot, however it didn't last long, with the Pole switching back into the Nike Phantom VNM for the second half and slotting Bayern's third home.
Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal) Nike Mercurial Vapor 13
The North London Derby is always set to have fireworks, and this weekend didn't disappoint. Dressing for the occasion, Alexandre Lacazette wore a pair of Nike Mercurial Vapor 13, specially customised by SWithADot with a look that's reminiscent of the Gunners' away kit. After one of the air kicks of the season, Laca was able to dispatch from the spot to give the boots a goalscoring debut.
Amad Diallo (Manchester United) Nike Mercurial Vapor 13
Amad Diallo made an impressive start to his Manchester United career, scoring in the Europa League against AC Milan. For the match he wore a pair of Nike Mercurial Vapor 13 customised by idfootballboots with an Ivory Coast flag and the words "Fear Of Nobody".
Thiago Alcantara (Liverpool) adidas Predator Freak.1
Sticking with Liverpool, and Thiago continues to hint at a move to adidas, this time training in the Predator Freak. The midfielder fits the bill as a Predator player, but has previously been seen training in the X.
