The Swoosh are back in the game with their second pack release of the season, and with the majority of Nike stars making the switch, the Football Recharge pack dominates this week’s edition of Boot Spotting. Add in some other new releases, a bit of throwback, and some special editions and we’re good to go.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United) Nike Mercurial Superfly 8

Nike players across the globe switched into the 'Football Recharge' pack this week, and leading the line as he always does was Cristiano Ronaldo, who laced up in the Mercurial Superfly 8 for United's 2-0 loss to noisy neighbours, City.

Vinicius Jr. (Real Madrid) Nike Mercurial Vapor 14

Vinicius Jr. ran the Vallecano back line ragged in Madrid's 2-1 win, and he did so sporting the Mercurial Vapor 14 from the 'Nike Football Recharge' pack.

Lautaro Martinez (Inter Milan) Nike Phantom GT II

Another key player to make the switch into the Nike Football Recharge pack was Inter's Lautaro Martinez, the Argentine making the move for the Milan derby, which ended 1-1.

Virgil Van Dijk (Liverpool) Nike Tiempo Legend 9

Conspicuous by its absence from the original launch communications, the Tiempo Legend 9 arrived late to the party, debuting on pitch to complete the Nike Football Recharge pack. Virgil Van Dijk was one of several players across Europe to be spotted in the boot.

Leroy Sane (Bayern Munich) Nike Mercurial Vapor 14

Looks like Leroy Sane wasn't quite ready to fully make the switch into the Nike Football Recharge pack, with the Bayern man lacing up just the left boot in the new colourway, keeping the previous 'Motivation pack' look on his right foot.

Kylian Mbappe (PSG) Nike Mercurial Superfly 8 KM Flames

Kylian Mbappe returned from from a slight injury this week and slipped straight into his new signature edition Mercurial Superfly 'Flames' for PSG's games against Leipzig and Bordeaux, scoring in the latter.

Nicolas Pepe (Arsenal) adidas X Speedflow +

Stopping off at the Arsenal training ground for a double spot, and Nicolas Pépé – who has been in-between brands for sometime now – was seen wearing the adidas X Speedflow + from the recently released 'White Spark' pack. Does this mean he's signed with the Three Stripes?

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal) Nike Mercurial Vapor IV SL

The second spot from Arsenal comes courtesy of regular contributor, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who opted to play in the Nike Mercurial Vapor IV SL. Not the first time he's worn these in training, but worthy of a shout seeing as the last time was well over a year ago.

Romano Schmid (Werder Bremen) adidas F50 Adizero IV

Werder came from behind to beat Nürnberg 2-1 on Friday, and their midfielder, Romano Schmid, stood out in the centre of the park in the adidas F50 Adizero IV from the unmistakeable Battle Pack, released ahead of the 2014 World Cup.

Scott Hogan (Birmingham City) PUMA Future Z 1.2

Another spot for the 'Under the Lights' PUMA Future Z 1.2 away from the glitz of the Champions League, this time on the feet of Birmingham City's Scott Hogan, who scored the opener against Reading before the visitors came back to win the game 2-1.

Kenza Dali (Everton Women) Nike Phantom GT II

Finishing up with Everton's Kenza Dali, who wore the Phantom GT II 'Shockwave' in her side's 3-1 win over Leicester City in the Women's Continental Tyres League Cup.
