Global Boot Spotting

Another round of Boot Spotting sees us traversing the Atlantic to bring you the best new and upcoming releases, special editions and retro classics currently in use by pros across the globe. Strap in, we’re off.

Mo Salah (Egypt) adidas X Speedflow MS.1

Just ahead of the tournament start Adidas bestowed upon Mo Salah his first-ever signature edition boot. Salah has worn the X Speedflow MS.1 in both of Egypt's group games so far, losing to Nigeria, but scoring the winner against Guinea-Bissau.

Diego Costa (Sao Paulo FC) Next Generation adidas Predator

Over to Brazil for a first look at what we're guessing is the launch colourway of the next generation adidas Predator, which is due to drop imminently. The colour scheme closely matches that of the Predator LZ, which this new model certainly bears a close resemblance to.

Ashley Lawrence (PSG Feminine) adidas X Speedflow .1

On the PSG Feminine training ground we got a first look at an upcoming colourway for the X Speedflow. Likely that this one will be dropping in support of the new Predator, so expect it in the near future.

Luuk De Jong (Barcelona) adidas COPA Sense .1

Rounding out what is likely to be a full pack release that brings us the new Predator, Luuk De Jong trained in a new colourway for the COPA Sense.

Omar Mendoza (Queretaro) Nike Air Zoom Total 90 II

Over to Mexico for an absolute belter from the early millennium, with Queretaro's Omar Mendoza wearing the Nike Air Zoom Total 90 II in his side's 1-3 loss to Pumas. But the spots from this match didn't stop there...

Sebastian Saucedo (Pumas UNAM) OFF-WHITE x Nike Mercurial Vapor XII 360

Another absolute beauty from the Queretaro and Pumas UNAM match came courtesy of Sebastian Saucedo, who wore the OFF-WHITE x Nike Mercurial Vapor XII 360. That boot feels even more special after the untimely passing of creator, Virgil Abloh.

Junior Brumado (FC Midtjylland) adidas X Speedflow .1

Junior Brumado is the latest player to be spotted training in the special edition adidas X Speedflow 11/11 that was released for Chinese singles day back in November. Still waiting for this to appear on pitch in an actual match.

Presnel Kimpembe (PSG) Next Gen Nike Mercurial Vapor

We've already seen the next gen Nike Mercurial Superfly prototype on the feet of Kylian Mbappé, but this week it was the turn of his PSG teammate, Presnel Kimpembe to show off the Vapor version.

Alfred Finnbogason (FC Augsburg) adidas adiPure

Over to the Bundesliga, and Alfred Finnbogason was spotted in the Adidas adiPure from the recently released 'Legends Pack' in his side's 1-1 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Diego De Buen (Puebla) adidas Predator Absolute

Back over to Mexico, and in the match between Tigres UANL and Puebla, La Franja's Diego De Buen rolled back the clock with an OG pair of adidas Predator Absolute. Like to think it helped his side to the 2-0 win.

Christopher Nkunku (RB Leipzig) adidas X Speedflow +

Christopher Nkunku continues to catch the eye this season with his impressive performances on the pitch, but he';s also caught the eye off it this week, training in the sleek X Speedflow from the adidas 'Edge of Darkness' pack.

Ben Nelson (Leicester City U23) Nike CTR Maestri 360 II

May have been foggy at the Seagrave Training Ground where Leicester City took on Crewe Alexandra in the FA Youth Cup 4th Round, but that didn't stop us spotting the Nike CTR Maestri 360 II on the feet of 17 year old Ben Nelson. Impeccable taste from the youngster.
