The Nike-sponsored members of the Lionesses debuted the new Bonded Pack ahead of their friendly with The Netherlands at Elland Road this evening, giving us our best look yet at the upcoming release, especially the Phantom GT II and Tiempo Legend IX.
Following on from the first look at the Nike Bonded Pack that we got yesterday, the Lionesses have been dished out their own personalised versions of the all-new Air Zoom Mercurial Superfly IX and Vapor XV, Phantom GT II, and Tiempo Legend IX as their preparations for Euro 2022 ramp up. It was the first real opportunity to get a close up look at all four boots, which all come in suitably summery “Barely Green/Blackened Blue/Total Orange” colourways.
Beth Mead wore the Vapor XV, Lauren Hemp and Chloe Kelly were in the Superfly IX, Ella Toone and Keira Walsh wore the Phantom GT II, leaving Lucy Bronze to give us a look at the Tiempo Legend IX.
It’s the first pack to feature the new Air Zoom Mercurial, and attention will understandably be on that, but it’s backed up by strong looks for the Phantom GT and Tiempo that will catch the eye this summer and beyond, as the women first use it for the Euros, with the men also set to wear it, in a similar way to the Nike Victory Pack, which was launched back in 2019, ahead of the women’s World Cup. The Phantom GT II, in particular, features a new double-Swoosh execution on the heel, offering a neat point of difference to what's come before.
Expect to see even more of these boots ahead of their official launch, starting tonight when the Lionesses take on The Netherlands at Elland Road.
