Global Boot Spotting

Another week, another round of Boot Spotting, bringing you some new upcoming releases on the feet of the pros across the globe. Also some customisation thrown in for good measure – with one of the biggest stars in the world doing his own…

Anthony Gordon (Newcastle United) adidas Predator 24

Looks like there's another colourway for the uber-popular adidas Predator 24 incoming. Anthony Gordon took to the pitch against Wolves this weekend in a laceless bright green colourway with purple Three Stripes. Scored in 'em too.

Maximilian Beier (TSG Hoffenheim) adidas Predator 24

Looks like Anthony Gordon wasn't the only player to score in this upcoming colourway for the Predator; indeed, TSG Hoffenheim's Max Beier went one better by notching a brace in the 2-1 win over Werder. The German forward opted for the laced version in his match-winning performance.

Joao Felix (Barcelona) adidas X Crazyfast

While the Predator is getting a refresh, the X Crazyfast still looks fresh in its Solar Blast colourway, as displayed by Joao Felix.

Antony (Manchester United) PUMA Ultra Ultimate

Still looking to really make his mark in a Manchester United shirt, Antony turned to boot customiser Jordan Dawson to add a bit more flair to his game. The artist added personal details to the 'Phenomenal Pack' Ultra for the Brazilian, including his national flag on the heel.

Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona) Next Gen Nike Mercurial

Robert Lewandowski has given us our first glimpse at what looks to be the next generation Nike Mercurial boots. The Air Zoom Mercurial Vapor XV and SUperfly IX dropped in June 2022, so an upgrade is due anytime now.

Divin Mubama (West Ham United) Mystery adidas boot

Another prototype, and this one we suspect is from the Three Stripes, given that the player wearing them, Divin Mubama, is an adidas athlete. Add that to the fact that they look very similar to teh boot Messi has been trialling recently, and we think we're safe in our assumptions. But what is it? Mubama opting for a laceless version of whatever it is. New X? Or something new/old?

Anthony Elanga (Nottingham Forest) Skechers Razor

Giving some love to Skechers' other silo (the one Harry Kane doesn't wear) whikle also completing our hat-trick of Anthonys this week (we'll pretend the United winger has an 'h' in his name, OK?), and Anthony Elanga continues to impress in teh Skechers Razor.

Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal) adidas Predator 24

Got to applaud Gabriel Jesus' choice to go whiteout 'Pearlized' Predator 24 with the fold-over tongue. Got to move that elastic down further though Jesus...

Katie McCabe (Arsenal Women) adidas Predator 24

That fold-over tongue just looks so good in any colourway. Arsenal's Katie McCabe showing off the Solar Blast colourway in all its glory in the North London derby win against Tottenham.

Anna Patten (Aston Villa Women) Under Armour Shadow Elite 2.0

Shining a light on not only an oft overlooked brand, but on the fact that they produce women-specific fits of their boots, Anna Patten wore the Under Armour Shadow Elite 2.0 in Villa's match against Liverpool on the weekend.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Al-Nassr) Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Superfly IX

All's not well at House Swoosh, and there have been reports that that has even spread to the relationship with one of their prized athletes, Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese has been opting for boots that are not the current models in recent weeks, and now has self-customised his Superfly IXs, cutting off the DF collar.
