Following on from being named the Best FIFA men's player for 2024, Nike dropped a video in which Vini Jr. danced in a pair of previously unseen pristine pair of Mercurials. Well now it looks like they’re set for their debut…
Back in December, Vinicius Jr. was crowned the ‘Best FIFA Men’s Player 2024’, and in celebration Nike dropped a teaser video of Vini jigging in a previously unseen pair of Mercurial Vapor XVI. At that time and until now, Vini was busy repping the newly rereleased Mercurial Vapor I RGN, but now it looks as though with the new year it’s time for the Brazilian to switch into his new signature kicks, dancing from the dance floor to dancing on the pitch.
The first spot of the new Mercurial in action following the Nike Insta post in December occurred at Real Madrid’s latest training session this week ahead of their Supercopa de España semi final against Mallorca. That was quickly followed up by a post from the man himself on his Instagram Stories, offering the clearest look yet at the boots.
So what are we dealing with here? First impressions were pretty spot on in that it’s a clean, white design, but the closer look has revealed further details in the silver trim and the signature details that appear in black. They are Vini’s signature logo on the right foot tongue area, and the stylised number 7 on the same area of the left boot. The same logo and number appear on the lateral side of each boot by the looks of things, while that big, bold shimmering silver Swoosh dominates the forefoot.
Fully expecting Vini to be wearing this in the match against Mallorca, so all eyes on the Bernabeu on Thursday evening.
