Residence #58 | 'Casino Arizona Field' Phoenix Rising FC

Having forgotten to take a left turn at Albuquerque, we found ourselves in the Valley of the Sun, home to one of the USL’s most exciting teams, Phoenix Rising FC. And so it the 2018 Western Conference Champions’ home, Casino Arizona Field, located in the Salt River Pima–Maricopa Indian Community, that became the 58th stop in our ‘Residence’ tour.

Framed #135 | Juventus v Ajax

Check the script, this was not how it was supposed to play out… Turin was on tenterhooks for a night when Juventus were expected to progress to the semi final of the Champions League. But their youthful opponents, Ajax, had other ideas. This was one we couldn’t miss and it didn’t disappoint as the latest fixture in our ‘Framed’ series.

Framed #134 | USWNT v Belgium

World Cup preparations continued for the USWNT with the next game in their so-called "Countdown to the Cup" fixture list. Playing for the first time at the Banc of California, it was also the first time that they had faced Belgium, and they were looking to continue their recent up turn in form. We got comfortable in the Golden State for the latest stop off in our ‘Framed’ series.

Framed #133 | USWNT v Australia

This may have been billed as a friendly, but in the build up to the Women’s World Cup, USWNT v Australia – two of the tournament favourites – is more of a test of credentials, and it was one that we just had to see. We took our seats at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park for the next instalment of our ‘Framed’ Series. Morgan v Kerr? Yes please and thank you…

Residence #57 | 'County Ground' Swindon Town

Wandering into Wiltshire for the 57th and next stop of our 'Residence' tour we find ourselves staring upwards at the pylon floodlights that light up the County Ground, the home of Swindon Town Football Club. This is a stadium that has witnessed football through all four divisions of English professional football and has been shaped architecturally over 123 years, since it was first opened in 1896.

Framed #132 | AIK v Östersund

There were a few things that we already knew about Swedish Champions AIK before arriving in Stockholm for their first home game the 2019/20 season. We knew that they make some stunning football shirts, they know how to celebrate a title, and that they absolutely love a flare or 5,000. All the key ingredients for another atmospheric 'Framed' dish.

Framed #131 | Spurs vs Crystal Palace

Tottenham Hotspur are home. Just under two years ago Spurs fans were waving goodbye to White Hart Lane with bags packed for Wembley, but last night, on the same land as that famous old stadium once stood, the club welcomed in a new era as they hosted their first fixture at the new colossal, state-of-the-art, £1b stadium.

Framed #130 | Switzerland v Denmark

Who said the international break is boring? Not this time. Not in Switzerland, anyway. The Swiss didn't give the Danes the warmest of welcomes to Basel for the EURO 2020 qualifier after they stormed into a 3-0 lead at St. Jakob-Park but Denmark battled back to earn a dramatic point in a pulsating climax.

Framed #126 | Bologna v Juventus

Ambitions at opposite ends of the table were in focus at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, as relegation-battling Bologna entertained table-topping Juventus. But this was not the all-conquering Old Lady that the world has been used to in recent months; this was an injured and potentially vulnerable beast. Needless to say, under the watchful gaze of the historic Marathon Tower this was the next stop in our ‘Framed’ series.
