A kickstarter collective, the 'Legendary XI' posters have been created as a way of raising funds for a new football website that looks to produce the 'ultimate memory of football'. An archive of football data, this series of posters celebrates the biggest clubs in style.
An interesting idea for a website, through the medium of data an encyclopaedia of football is the desired output. Taking in every goal from the entirety of football history it looks to serve as an evolving history book that charts football in data form.
Turning to art as a way of funding the project, our appreciation lyes in the shape of these illustrations. The seven designers involved in bringing it to fruition have grabbed a character of each club and transferred that through some unique visual communication. Some elegant, some tenacious; all right up there as strong pieces of inspired creative.
