With the MLS beckoning, LA Galaxy and D.C. United are ready to open proceedings on 6th March. The club have blitzed out of the blocks with engines firing, ready to resume their much acclaimed match day poster series. First blood comes from the talented David Diehl.
In short, David's style is unique and utterly match winning. His 'ikonen' series is one of many miles; it has travelled around the globe with appreciation not short coming. His Socrates inspired design particularly is a cornerstone of triumph. In collaborating with LA Galaxy, he has depicted three Galaxy game changers in Steven Gerrard, Robbie Keane and Giovani Dos Santos. A raw technique with an oil painted approach, Diehl uses gold leaf layered over pine wood to capture his portraits.
As we perpare to enter another season in which the MLS will write a new chapter in its history, there's more flagship names, more eyes and more fans to make the party bigger than ever. With the season opener just days away, it's another refresher upon the global game as MLS teams continue to take great pride in their creative delivery both on and off the pitch.
