The 'Princess League' by James Tyler

With momentum very much rolling as the Premier League begins to take shape, designer and illustrator James Tyler combined football and gaming as he celebrated the return to the domestic season with the 'Princess League'. A re-imagining of all Premier League clubs as levels taken from Nintendo's 'Mario World'.

A personal project with a hella lot of character it features all the big hitters from the world of Super Mario and with the famous Princess heading up the league, it's all about the attention detail as from Manchester United through to Leicester City, all Premier League bases have been covered. Where gaming and football cross over, FIFA tends to take the plaudits though wading in with a nice use of Nintendo heritage, this is one that wins both with touches of nostalgia as well as newness.

Paying close attention to details, the Premier League logo has also been reworked and of course, for the 'Princess League', it has Princess Peach sitting pretty as the matriarch of this establishment. A chirpy way to show a less serious side to the game.
